And even the sectors that are growing, it's not good. Like my business is at an all time high on income but that's just because we always pass along the cost of diesel as a surcharge. Our actual new business is negative. We're not growing, we're sucking the few remaining drops of blood from the few businesses that haven't bled out.

Don’t read into this as a defense of Leto, but he won an Oscar for playing a trans woman. 

Certain types were very bitter about that, Eddie Redmayne in Danish Girl, and were in the nascent stages of a campaign against Scarlet Johansson.

Movie was also notable for hitting right when Matthew McConaughey was having his moment. I think The Dark Tower, and specifically this tweet, led him into a crisis of faith and a soft retirement. And tried his hand at politics.

The western game companies focused on everything: anti-crunch measures, jira boards, making characters as ugly as possible, putting debra wilson in their games, having as many purple haired people on the team as possible, censorship and activism but they forgot to do what matters most: develop amazing video games. I also agree that the sanctions don't work (we know they don't work). It just bolsters the corruption. 

In most companies it's the same fucking shit, they can't move ahead with anything unless "the team" is on the same page, the GDPR policies are covered and the UN Human Rights are secured (seriously for a deal I'm doing now, we have to sign terms and conditions where we back the UN Human Rights to develop a website, the paperwork is fucking insanity). Our secret weapon? AI! ChatGPT can fill out all their dumb audits and forms in the blink of an eye and scan it for any stuff that might be legally bad for me. It's a superweapon that the corpos can't use because of their corpo shit. 

Also who has to fix shit when it goes sideways? Right, the non-woke employees. The people who can actually DO THINGS. Instead of wasting hours on Excel sheets that are not only redundant but also poorly formatted. The 20/80 rule is like the 2/98 rule these days. 2% of the people do 98% of the work. And the 2% are sick of 98% of the leeches complaining about sand people or trans rights or whatever and holding us back.

So a man gives his life in form of protest to genocide, and some people's first instincts are:

- Say they shouldn't have done it, lecturing in the usefulness of the protest, very comfy while on a gaming forum

Of all the kinds of available protests, I explicitly don't want suicide protests to work. I want them to never work whether they are for or against something I believe in. Suicide should never be encouraged, and it should not be given positive reinforcement as a valid protest tactic. I do not think it should be controversial to hold such an opinion. Imagine the feelings of people with suicidal ideations reading this. Simply horrifying.

I find these delays and the sheepish way we approach landing on the moon in the modern day so strange.

We did it in the late 1960's (and at relatively short notice) when technology was light years behind what it is today, and yet today we act as if it's this super complicated task that's almost beyond us.

The fact we haven't been there for over 50 years is also extremely weird considering the advancements we've made.

I don't believe the conspiracy theories since I think it would be easy for a country like Russia to disprove and too many people would have needed to know. Maybe it's just a case of money and the cost of these things being astronomical in the present day etc.
