I think demi's post was misunderstood, I think what he meant was that if something did happen he wouldn't work to bring it back and so on. The "running on fumes" was a comment on the activity and interest of the community, not a status report. I think his position is neither for nor against.

Yep he even ignored my post outlining a very easy fix and other offers to help out.
I think he changed course because most posters simply migrated to this new board and continued posting and my Discord and thus his refusal to fix the site still didn't kill it.

Trumps

The only issue with this new board is that it is even more focused on the Other Forums talk than the previous board. Not much gaming going on it seems and some bore gamers didn't use the escape boats and are still stuck on the old ship.

Occam resurfaced though, only to be clowned by filler lol

Demi implied the other board is a PITA to manage, that he’s not around much, and would not prioritize its upkeep.

He’s absolutely under no obligation to do so, and I’m grateful of the work he’s put in.

At the same time, the outages and inconsistencies are not compatible with my needs, so I’ll stay focused on this board.

I do feel like there are a couple more people here now who were either hesitant about signing up to old bore or else couldn't get it to work for some reason (were new signups blocked or not?)
