Wouldn't be at all surprised if Sweet Baby's partly responsible why dev houses think all black men rock a Killmonger hair cut or that it's even a popular hair cut in the black community. Who the fuck else would disqualify a candidate if not the States? Who else would enforce this clause? Why would you need a separate federal statute to enforce the Cosntitution?

this case asked "has trump been convicted of insurrection and therefore cannot be on the ballot" and the answer is "no, if you want him removed you will have to start an entirely different case in order to first determine his guilt"

law works based on extreme specificity and procedure and they are perpetually disappointed whenever they rediscover that 90% of everything in court ends in technicality of not having filed the right thing at the right time or whatever

they refuse to accept that a lot of these conclusions are a good thing because they apply equally to both sides, this means that republicans can't just say "biden did an insurrection" with no evidence or conviction and remove him from the ballot

It should be obvious why that Yuzu thing went down the way it did: Those guys made a lot of money selling early access to the emulator, and essentially advertised that this paid-for version could play the latest and greatest releases at or even before launch. RyujinX makes a tiny fraction of what the Yuzu devs made, and other projects like Dolphin don't allow donations at all. I'm pretty sure the money part is what made Yuzu a target. If Nintendo thought they could kill emulation for good, they wouldn't have settled, because settling means they don't have a precedent.

Shuts down Yuzu. Next up on the agenda? Let's spin the wheel. And it certainly will prevent others from thinking twice about starting a new emulator. This is a huge victory and massive defeat for the gaming world. The effects could be chilling.

Expect there are devs who aren't stupid enough to put their emulators behind Patreon like Yuzu did.
