It's clear the thread is being heavily mod monitored, by those who occasionally post in it and by those who say they're avoiding it altogether.

I'm expecting a wall of silence from now on, with any posts that cross their line magically vanishing/spirited away.

There is little room for fruitful discussion with a set-in-their-way mod team when one side can just post, and the other side can not only ignore that post, but can edit the contents of it, fully delete it, or ban/remove the user, should they disagree with it or feel they're losing the argument.
