Then the last thing I'll say on the matter is that it wasn't an anti-Arab statement, it was anti-Hamas about what Hamas was actually doing. If Brady did that other stuff then I'll stop advocating for him but we should at least be clear.

So, I do want to address this bit, and won't say anything else, because it's not super obvious to those who aren't aware. There is a stereotype about arabic men buying and selling women and making them "wives". If you've ever seen a police procedural do an episode about human trafficking or sexual slavery then you've likely encountered it. At the end of every episode, almost regardless of what show it is, there is some incredibly rich arabic man on a private jet sitting on a private runway waiting to take the woman he just bought (usually from an eastern european mobster, another stereotype) out of the country and turn her into his latest "wife". His comments were seen to be a play on, and advancing, this racist stereotype and as such was a part of the reasoning.

How are they so fucking dumb. Fucking Isis and Hamas are raping women. If you want to claim that represents all Arabs then that's a you problem

Bdubs is so full of shit; if they actually cared about members lives being put in jeopardy due to offsite activity, Hecht would be permabanned from the forum for his use of doxxing and harrasment methods to try and get another member fired from their job, all because said member also posted at the Bore.

B-Dubs finally admits the sex slave ban was bullshit but now decides to perma ban Brady for joking about baiting Nepenthe into saying something the FBI would get her for 

The reasoning for the ban has been explained, but we failed to look at it from the perspective of survivors of sexual assault and only looked at it in terms of avoiding hyperbole on the topic and from perpetuating anti-arab stereotypes. We will review procedure with all staff involved with the ban to ensure that something like this does not happen again. In acknowledgement of this we will delete the banner and offer our apologies to any offended or concerned. As always, we strive to stand with women and all victims of sexual assault and anyone dismissing any legitimate accusations can and will be banned in the harshest terms possible.

However, we cannot actually unban Brady due to his off-site remarks. He has mentioned plans to bait other members and then call the FBI on them. This is completely unacceptable and crosses multiple lines. It puts people's actual lives at risk. Even if it's just a "joke", all it takes is for him to be serious about it for a single moment and he would ruin someone's life over a stupid internet argument. That means it has become a safety issue and we cannot allow people who put other members' real lives at risk to remain on the forum.

We have to put the physical safety of our members and staff members above any other considerations. As a result, he needs to remain banned on a permanent basis. Even if it's a joke, we cannot take the risk that he actually decides to act on it at some point in the future.

This will be the last we say on the matter.

I only came in here a couple of days ago. Someone in your Discord alerted us to someone potentially viewing KiwiFarms. I take that shit seriously...so many people, staff and users alike, have been doxxed by them and TheBore.  So yeah, I don't know if anyone here was *directly* responsible for the doxxing, but I do know that even talk about it attracts the worst people. And clearly you're fine with lurkers, as I've been here for a few days unmolested. 

I'll finish by saying that you know when the site started? I was there. One of the first rules we came up with is to STFU about NeoGAF. Because we didn't want to turn into a forum where people were just gawking and pointing fingers at others.  That's not content - it's reactionary anger.  Discords are the same way.  Y'all can vent. That's fine. We're not gonna be perfect. But basing an entire identity around it is....well it's not a recipe for a happy community, let me tell you.

Secretly lurking in an open Discord with nothing to hide says more about Hecht than PoliEra. Tells anyone looking at this situation from the outside that Resetera moderation are immature, conniving, and paranoid. There is an obvious Us vs Them mentality in their staff circle and when it gets that far you need to sit down and think about your continued involvement as a person in power.

When you see your community as your enemy you need to step down.
