I swear to god one day I will understand those of you who love this game so much.

Every time I've played it it just felt indescribably worse to control on a moment-to-moment basis. Even with Adaptability maxed out. It's like my character is slipping on butter or something. Even putting aside the "quantity over quality" philosophy that I feel bogs down the whole experience I just cannot bring myself to enjoy it on a basic gameplay level as much as DS1 or 3.

But it can also be true that Elden Ring is Dark Souls 2 but expanding on the parts of DS2 that worked (the more open-ended exploration from the outset, power stancing) while toning down on the stuff that didn't (tying iframes to a stat, controls feeling awkward).

Gonna be honest... I'm not a FF fan, nor am I one-console only fan, but I am absolutely depressed seeing this. This looks bad y'all. Also they love that book burning picture but it wasn't a book burning of just the sex research books. It was a book burning of all the books they rounded up from multiple of those types of seizures.
