Great stuff everyone, I'm personally very excited about the Killzone remaster with more female and minority representation thanks to our friends at Sweet Baby Inc. as well as another upcoming HORIZON game which has the first NPC in a wheelchair. Now with the expected market changes and internal review of some games leading to delays and cancellations of GAAS projects we're kind of looking at a small first party line-up for the 2024 fiscal year but we believe we can manage to reach our sales targets by advertising our existing games as well as some promising third party releases. Still, we've asked our publishing arm worldwide to find projects to sign to bolster the line-up of Sony published titles.

Not trying to defend the horrible designs in the game but "would you wear this in real life combat situations" has never been a useful critique for character designs unless the game is set in a down to earth world.

She pretty much admits that what really bothers them about this game is that the "Chuds" celebrate it as a win. Seriously why even care, especially when there's a reason that Stellar Blade stands out like this is because most AAA Western games are happy to make their female characters less attractive looking than their real life face models.

The reason why people are hyping the game is the result of the feeling that there was a big overcorrection regarding sexuality in games. Grifters like Anita promised that this stuff was not going away and just want people to be conscious about it (and that would be fair and cool if she didn’t misinformed and misinterpreted everything she didn’t like  ) but this stuff has been relegated to niche porn games at steam and Switch. After all this years it has become obvious that this has been driven by inner insecurities rather than desire for equality or genuine believe that entertainment should be self conscious.

Like yea the days of "booth babes," devs being so brazen that a bikini body with a severed head was considered something worth selling, devs being praised for being straight, (Yoko Taro likes butts teehee he's so quirkyyyy🙃 ), are all long gone and for good reasons. Because that era turned a huge part of the community into morons/coomers. And the medium was at such a lowpoint that the game equivalents of the movie Sucker Punch, (Lolipop Chainsaw, Bayo) were considered feminism and not "the writer's barely disguised fetish on display."

It's always a frustrating thing where a lot of chuds will fall back on the line that women are just being prudish or feeling threatened that women in video games might be more attractive or popular than them initially, the timeless "only ugly, insecure women would hate sexually attractive women in video games".

And yet, some of these are the same people who feel the need to hide what they're playing from their own girlfriends and spouses. It boggles the mind.
