Actually, I don't entirely disagree, my argument is that it's reflexive and the ease by which they so fervently are reflexive is cultural. You know they aren't like this anywhere else because anywhere else has people who will not accept it. ResetERA.com essentially mandates you accept it and many of the posters insist you participate.

The specifics and which cases come about are less relevant and totally interchangeable. How things are chosen as the mob's target is beyond my ability to discern and would require experts from other fields.

The ultimate irony is that if they were genuine leftists who actually based their views in such traditions as Marxism, critical theory, etc. they might recognize exactly what I'm getting at and where they need to self-critique but since we know they're on the right side of history they're perfect and the problems are always everyone else and their refusal to stop being wrong.
