Affirmative action is the epitome of the phrase "a rising tide lifts all boats." But I guess a subset of Asian Americans think they deserve more boats than us & want to take away our boats, to the point to where they'll side with people who want us both to drown.

I don't really have anything nice to say about anything or anyone since this ruling. I have to continue to justify my presence in a country that goes out of its way to erase my presence for any reason.

I would argue to a certain extent it depends where the moderates lie. If they are truly ignorant to the causes and really believe their cops are on the up and up I can absolutely see peaceful protests drawing attention to what is happening and pressure will be applied to change it. That said, that’s not the case here, you have decades of international incidents involving french police to the point that the only logical conclusion is that the moderates actually want a heavy handed police force, just not aimed at them.

Yeah, we need to stop doing that thing where we characterize moderates as ignorant biddy-babs who simply need to be informed about issues before making a decision, because the fact of the matter is they aren't particularly reliable voters for minorities regardless even when shit pops off like this.

It's the same thing people do with conservatives and insist that debating them across a long enough period of time will change them into communists. Like, no, this isn't a glitch in the system, they genuinely believe what they say they believe in. Subsequently moderates are okay with the status quo but just don't care that much, or don't want to be caught up in any potential social consequences of their decision.

"Moderates" being anybody that doesn't believe in burning shit down.

Sports that require "huge investments" aren't primarily white either, the sports that get all the money are the big ones everyone knows like football, basketball, soccer increasingly, maybe a couple others get pittances. What most other sports receive funding-wise are merely the facilities. "White" sports definitely are not ones that universities spend on. Really "white" shit like rowing and lacrosse often have to pay for everything like equipment and travel themselves even when they get scholarships.

God I really hope the franchise learns from this and realizes that women can be central characters too and more than just token slots on your cast. I also really appreciated seeing so many women in background roles as mechanics, pilots, etc.

Really hope a female MC isn't a one time thing and it just becomes unsurprising for the franchise. And I hope from now on Gundam pilots are more evenly split between female and male characters.
