Yeah I mean I'm a woman(ish) and I don't like Bayonetta because while she is a self assured confident figure, it's still the question of if a fictional character can really be in control of their own sexuality and I do think the point of her design is still to titillate even if she is more than that. It certainly could, and there were indeed notes on at least Blizzard game OTs for a time; I recall the Overwatch OT use to have one.

In this instance it is about the developer of Stellar Blade firing women who supported feminism.

This is pretty much the same thing we had to deal with for Cyberpunk 2077 before that escalated/revealed itself to where it did here, and that was a game where it wasn't as focal for the issues this community had in it and CDPR compared to Shift Up.

Not to lessen the situation at those other companies, but there wasn't as much effort in the community here to actively sweep under the rug or even indulge in the issues with those than what we've seen with Stellar Blade.

None of those companies had anything raised in any of the OTs on their last few big releases. Seems like a pretty effective rug sweep when you see something like Diablo 4 come out and everyone is singing their praises again, not too long after the lawsuit about godawful employee treatment at blizzard started. people peeping in bathrooms and stealing breastmilk, a frat boy culture of constant misogyny and sexual harassment. a "cosby suite"

The golden age of the internet from 2000-2013 will never be forgotten by me, nor experienced by any future generations.
