They're so used to having and enjoying the social benefits of the moral high ground that when the high ground shifts beneath their feet, they maintain that actually they STILL HAVE the high ground even when the ledge is 30 feet above them. And their frantic attempts to maintain that high ground wind up manifesting as trying to pull things back down to their level.

This movie is such a convergence of shit that I am dreading it's release cycle.

You have the anti woke Chuds wishing this movie to fail because it has strong women, a WOC and a Muslim WOC and they are at this moment still spamming dislikes and comments on the trailer after it dared have a good reception.

Then you have the "MCU Fatigue" filmbros salivating at the mouth just from the though of this movie failing, so that way the MCU dies and REAL CINEMA (aka the seventh and fifth sequels to Mission Impossible and Avatar) comes back again. Because apparently that's how it works.

Both groups are sharpening their knives and doing everything they can to push this movie as a failure and the death of the MCU. And we won't hear the end of it.
