So a trend I come across in Fandom spaces especially on Twitter is people who think that because they like/dislike something about media it has to be "morally correct" or some shit.

Like if they don't like Batman it has to be for some moral reason like "Batman promotes fascism and if you like it you support it"

Or if they don't like what a creator does in a show then that creator must be a bad person
Like people trying to say Bruce Timm is some awful guy because they don't like how he handled Wonder Woman in Justice League or something.

It's ridiculous. These people weaponize social justice for their own petty grievances/parasocial attachments to media and aside from being cringe it's also skeevy as they try to act like agents of morality/social justice

Despite well-established sex differences for cognition, audition, and somatosensation, few studies have investigated whether there are also sex differences in visual perception. We report the results of fifteen perceptual measures (such as visual acuity, visual backward masking, contrast detection threshold or motion detection) for a cohort of over 800 participants. On six of the fifteen tests, males significantly outperformed females. On no test did females significantly outperform males. Given this heterogeneity of the sex effects, it is unlikely that the sex differences are due to any single mechanism. A practical consequence of the results is that it is important to control for sex in vision research, and that findings of sex differences for cognitive measures using visually based tasks should confirm that their results cannot be explained by baseline sex differences in visual perception.

My guess is some people are actually so flimsy that they build their identities on the media they consume, not knowing that you can consume media without it affecting your identity.

Same thing with bathrooms. They oppose the idea of privacy through trans-only and/or single-occupant spaces, and instead demand to be allowed to pee with the girls. Most normal people pee in a group out of necessity of numbers, not because they WANT to. If someone offered me a Jones-only bathroom, or Uncle and Benji a doxxers-only bathroom, why wouldn't we take it?

Every time. Whether it’s chess or darts or tic tac toe.

There isn’t. Women’s leagues are formed usually as a way to introduce more women to certain sports in a way more comfortable setting for them. It’s not about splitting genders it’s about giving women a way in, able to compete with others who took the same way in. And if they want to make the move to the non-gendered league they can, but people moving in the other direction are not something they are used to or think is particularly fair and I understand their frustration.
