There is no trans commentary in the show to my knowledge. I completely understand why someone might avoid the show based on any number of Clarksons shit opinions over the years. But I'm not sure that watching and discussing a show where none of those opinions are available - is worth trying to shut down on Era. Maybe I'm way off.

In any case. The show very clearly positions Clarkson as a buffoon who is wildly out of touch. I know a few people who can't stand Clarkson and enjoy being able to laugh at him in this show.

* P(W∣L) is if she did a crime then the probability she wrote a note. Let's say 0.8 to be very generous. We'd have to find the percentage of serial killers who wrote such notes to determine this. (I highly doubt most serial killers wrote stream of confession notes!)
* P(W∣¬L) is if she didn't do the crime then the probability she wrote the note. This would be the belief that she was in a depressive episode and wrote it to cope. I'd put this at around 0.6 based on everything. But to adjust for my own biases I'm going to bring this down to 0.4.

P(W) is 0.24 + 0.28 = 0.52.

So when you put it together you get 0.8 * 0.3/0.52 = 0.46. Not 0.8. 0.46. And this is with absurdly generous assumptions. (0.3 is a horrible place to start from! 0.8 is a very loose upper bound.)

So to get a P(w) of 52%, he only needed to (hold on...) make up all 3 numbers needed to calculate it, pulled from straight out of his ass! Ditto for P(L|W). So basically, if we assume she didn't do it, then the calculations will further show she didn't do it!
