This is gross downplaying of the entire point of this thread and article and the point B-Dubs is trying to get across. The point is to be vigilant, check your sources, don't blindly post things on an impulse even if it sounds right or makes sense, check the history of websites/authors to see if they pass the smell test, compare sources and see if anything sticks out, etc... we have to do our part in not spreading misinformation, especially during election years.

It may seem like a lot of work but on forums like this or sites like reddit it's important to get you facts right as a lot of eyes can see what you post. Take Resetera's thread on the Russian invasion, it has over 27 million views and it has been moderated very well by both users and staff. Now imagine if mods allowed any sort of news to be posted, or allowed trolls to spread links from the sites mentioned above. It could've done some legit damage.

You admit you find the sort of sites mentioned in the article as more credible than most MSM. Do you really hate Israel that much? That you openly give credibility to propaganda that has great hits such as Syrian rebels gassed themselves and it's Ukraine's fault for the war to name a couple big ones. You can see how irrational that looks correct?

Paid propaganda and misinformation from Russia or Iran is no more credible than propaganda and misinformation from Israel or authors with clear Israel bias. Propaganda and misinformation like this needs to be called out and corrected from whatever source it comes from. I don't know how you could read this article and decide that a short Zoinists control the MSM rant was the best response. It really comes off as a deflection or whataboutism.

I guess to close my own rant lol, this whole revelation is hardly surprising. I know B-Dubs often loses his mind when people post sources from these sites or similar ones, I know I do lol. At least we can use this article as a way to correct people, assuming their posting in good faith of course.

Got pulled over with a crack dealer in my passenger seat, gun under his seat, him holding several $20 bags. Took a right without stopping on what barely was a red light, cop was parked in a lot to the left with no lights on. Was sure I was going to jail but had to stay calm, dude swallowed the baggies before the cop walked up to the car. I give him my papers, I guess his cop sense goes off and he has out get out of the car and sit on the curb, we're fucked. It's an old guy cop too, no nonsense.

He comes over to me and separates me from the other guy, he asks me "now look, I'm going to search your car, I'll have the K-9 unit come out if I have to, I want you to tell me right now if there's anything in there you don't want me to find". I only had a second to think, I was trying to keep cool. I told him there was a pot pipe in my center console. He tells me "if you're lying to me, you're going to jail."

So he goes to the car, right to the center console, takes the pipe out. He asks me if that's it, I say yes, that's it. Cop paused for a while, he tells me to get in the front seat of my car and turn it on, but keep the door open. I do so, and he walked behind the car and put my pipe behind my back tire, then he told me to slowly back up, which I did, smashing the pipe.

That was it, I got a ticket for running a red, he said we were good to go and that he appreciated my honesty. Drove away, pulled into a McDonalds parking lot so my passenger could throw up the baggies that had been sitting in his stomach for like 20 minutes, had those broken, maybe even had one broken he could have died.

I haven't gotten pulled over in ages though, it's been at least 10 years.

I was living in the projects at the time, it was all around. My dad was doing it, his friend was doing it, his friend had a whole family of immigrants from Ghana living with him in a 2 bedroom apartment and he let them stay there as long as they smoked him up. Called him Conductor Dave because he had a big model train set, that was taking up one of the bedroom and the family slept in his living room.

But anyways I met that dude because there was a girl I liked, I was over her place once and the guy showed up because she was buying, turned out he lived in the same building as me just a couple flights up, we were into the same kind of music and we both did hip hop stuff, I even recorded a couple tracks with him. His apartment was practically a factory, dunno what happened whenever they did inspections or anything but I think they always gave notice, dude had microwaves and pyrex all over. I did it here and there but was always more a fan of powder, thankfully for the most part I found it easy to put down, except at the end of the night when you run out, then it sucks.

Like what, I remember it all pretty vividly, it was scary as hell. I've never really been in trouble with the law, was only detained once because they misidentified me, I thought my life was fucked when this happened.
