They're losing their shit because of the sweet baby inc. thing. What they can't wrap their head around is that diversity is actually the main cause of it and not yt peepo. By and large they will find the biggest support for their 'diversity' in the US and EU and the fewest developers that dare to add some scantily clad women in their games.

Also the video game industry is much more diverse now than it was 20 years ago with South Korea, Japan, ZCHINA and Eastern Europe claiming a far bigger stake and a sharp decline in games from western Europe and the UK in particular. However not the type of diversity they want as the Koreans are reintroducing jiggly boobs in a big way.

Ironically, had they not forced their agenda the status quo of the 'realistic' Batman, Battlefield, Tomb Raider, Bioware etc. games outselling animu games would've likely remained. Instead the most niche titles like Atelier Ryza and Unicorn Overlord are breaking sales records and probably outsold Suicide Squad.

I am originally from Iran and live in the Netherlands, some of my best friends are dutch and they cant simply understand how i sometimes feel when i am at a party or at an event with them. There have been times ive been afraid as fuck and most of the time we go somehwere together and i am the only one getting the " so where are you from " question. I honestly think people have no idea how damaging their behavior can be.

Asking "where are you from" for the millionth time while out with your friends is not a reason to be "afraid as fuck". And guess what? White people get asked where they are from at parties and events all the time. 

I grew up in rural WI, I moved down south in my 20s and was constantly asked where I was from or they made fun of my accent. People have asked me about snow, cheese, cows, brats and all the stereotypes. Then the Fargo movie came out in '96. Oh boy, I got shit from everybody, coworkers, neighbors it wouldn't stop. People would ask me to say lines from the movie. It was my Simpsons-Apu moment. But it was no surprise living 10 miles from the Mexico border and the only white guy in my neighborhood. Yes, people can be malicious asking those questions, but if you are with friends at a party I don't think we need to go straight to Xenophobia. 

Besides, being from Iran is probably the most interesting thing about him. He should be thankful he has something to talk about that might interest someone. My best friend down there grew up in a village with only one truck in town. Every morning he would get up to get water from the town well. He's never been outside of the border area. I found that interesting. He had never seen snow or known anyone that lived that far north and would ask questions about that. He found that interesting about me. We became friends because we asked each other where we were from.

So, no. I don't think asking where are you from is "damaging behavior"
