I recently bought a box with all those Bryan Singer X-Men movies. They are vastly underrated because folks were just obsessed with Marvel at the time. 

While Days of Future Past was probably the best one they all have decent plots, interesting designs, great CG effects and cool action scenes.
The Dark Phoenix movie deserved way better than the rush job it ended up being.

I remember loving those types of events as a kid.

You could for example steer the boat if you went for a boat ride, press the button at the car wash, ride along in the train locomotive and help check the tickets or honk the horn of a fire truck and put on a helmet and jacket if you went to visit the fire brigade. Not to mention helping out at the petting zoo or baking cookies at the local bakery.

Before 2012, the company consistently donated to anti-LGBTQ groups and CEO Dan Cathy said supporting same-sex marriage would invite God's judgment on the country.

Following the 2012 backlash in response to the company's donations and Cathy's comments, Chick-Fil-A stopped making donations to some, but not all, of the controversial groups. The company continued to face criticism.

Seven years later, in November 2019, Chick-fil-A's donations got attention again when the company announced its areas of charity focus for 2020 — education, homelessness and hunger — and expanded partnerships with Junior Achievement, Covenant House and local food banks.

The shift in focus meant the company's charity initiative would no longer involve donations to groups that had previously fueled criticism, including the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

However, it's important to note that the company's new initiative meant more than 80 organizations would no longer get the company's donations. Salvation Army and FCA weren't specifically defunded; instead, they were part of larger group that no longer received donations when Chick-fil-A changed focus. Headlines about the move at the time often overstated the shift.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed that the partnerships announced at the end of 2019 still stand and that Chick-fil-A also "pledged to give back to Black-led non profits or those serving the Black community."

Also, can't help but wonder where Pakistan would be culturally had it not been for the overarching cold war colonialist mindset that peaked with the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and all the subsequent fallout. Long story short, the US armed and funded the previously fringe religious fundamentalists because they were willing to fight the Soviets. But when Soviets left, the fundies stayed and were a lot more powerful than before. The economic fallout, government coups and so on led to a huge brain drain with a lot of the more secular progressives leaving. The West profited twice over; not only did their interventions destabilize the region which continues to this day, it happily took in all educated folks like doctors, engineers, etc., to help themselves. But that's the classic story of western imperialism.

I've noticed a slight bit of thinning at my crown. Only slightly noticeable in the right lighting conditions but since I'm 40, I want to get ahead of these things as if you don't catch it in time, much harder to solve. And also it just makes styling my hair a bit harder / have to get haircuts often otherwise the thinner hair can sometimes look bad at the crown when it gets too long.

I just started topical minoxidil first once a day as the side effects from that seemed very minor so outside of potential waste of money, I saw no harm. I may also do PRP treatments as the only negative seems to be cost/money. But those are just 50/50 kind of deals whether they have any impact at all. My wife says it seems to be getting thicker but that may be texture change.

But I've been tempted to ask about taking a .25mg low dose of Finasteride as I know that's the one thing that has a very high chance of having some kind of impact.

Issue is me and the wife are trying for pregnancy right now so they don't recommend it (at least online, haven't talked to doctor or our fertility clinic). I would have less concerns if the side effect was ED because you can solve ED with Viagra and whatever the other one is called. My concern is my current sperm count and motility is good (at least from tests a couple months ago) right now but if that's impacted, that will make pregnancy harder. If we end up doing IVF at some point (we got like 6 months of trying natural way with some hormone medication for my wife and testing/knowing our cycle), then probably won't be an issue then as they'll test my sample to make sure it's good.

Anyone here have experience with trying to have a child while taking finasteride?

Question, are the potential (less than 5%) permanent side effects just associated with libido/ED? The sperm impacts are temporary that if you come off, you'll be fine?

I don't mind libido being permanently affected. I'm married now so even if my libido isn't there, the emotional aspect is there to want to make love so I can override the physical desire with mental desire. And as I mentioned above, ED is easily fixed nowadays. During my party days I would use viagra once in a while recreationally to balance other drugs / heavy drinking that would cause ED. Haven't used it in forever but wouldn't bother me to get a prescription if needed.

But yeah, the sperm impacts or ability to ejaculate may scare me.
