They only have their own interests in mind and have spent the last 2 decades brutally terrorizing the Palestinian people alongside the IDF, and are now cowardly hiding in tunnels and torturing civilian hostages while leaving innocent Palestinians to face the brunt of the IDF's cruelty.

What do Hamas have to gain from torturing the hostages? Just as it's important for pro-Palestinians to not put Hamas on a pedestal, it's equally important to acknowledge that they're not an organization devoid of reason. The only public statements we've received from rescued hostages is that they were treated as well as they could be given the circumstances of having bombs being dropped on them and on public facilities needed to keep them alive. And GIVEN the circumstances it would be difficult to treat them any better.

To say the hostages are being tortured is to regurgitate Israeli propaganda. Because if it were true, Israeli media would be parading those statements non stop, instead of letting the rescued and returned hostages recover in peace. If anything, the initial statements by the first returned hostages has taught the Israeli government that not letting hostages speak to the media would be prudent.

1 month for straight up denying war crimes. I wonder how long someone would get banned for denying proven crimes from the IDF?

Israel is using the October 7 attack, which was indeed horrific, to justify it's ongoing onslaught in Gaza.

With this backdrop, organizing an exhibit on the events of that day seems very cynical, or at least out of place considering that thousands of people are still being slaughtered as a result of this event.

Antisemitism is horrible, but backlash against this exhibit is understandable and justified as far as I'm concerned.

Well make up your mind, was the Hamas attack bad or is violence against Israel inherently justified? Because if you think the latter, then what was so bad about the Hamas attack?

Very easy to say "of course Hamas is bad, of course antisemitism is bad, of course Oct 7th was bad." But it's clear there are a lot of folks who don't actually believe this and are just paying lip service to these ideas out of obligation.
