WW2 wouldn't have turned out how it did, the Cold War didn't need to happen, "socialism" didn't need to become a four-letter word in the west. But it all happened the way it did because he chose his own personal power over doing the right thing.

No, Lenin understood Marx and socialism infinitely better than you do. Marx outlines a single party state without democracy that's established by violent seizure of power. Marx literally has no concept of disagreement among the proletariat about anything, you can't have a "functioning democracy" with multiple "socialist" parties. Any opposition parties are treasonous.

edit: Lenin saved the Soviet Union from Marx's ideas by ending socialism in 1921 as he was dying.

Because, at least as Marxism, it is a religion. Marx claimed he literally had a divine vision that revealed the "science" to him. The "forces of production" are essentially God. Socialism claims to operate based on a supernatural omniscient and omnipotent force. The proletariat triumphs when Jesus returns the contradictions of capitalism cause it to collapse and the battle between Good and Evil ends in utopia. "Late stage capitalism" is the Great Tribulation.

You've misread it completely. This is politics she's playing. If the centrist dems (bulk of the party that have the power to make the decision) hear the "extremist lefties" like the squad begging for Biden to step down, how do you think they'll react? Suddenly they'll feel repelled by the idea if it's something the extremist squad is also on board with.

Extreme example, but imagine you saw a KKK member take your side on a debate. Suddenly you'd reexamine your position, if not come around to outright rejecting what you were arguing for.

People understand that, even though in theory it could turn an unwinnable race into a winnable one over the next few months, the announcement of Biden dropping out and the aftermath of that is going to be a negative news cycle right? Like, the sitting president needing to bow out at the last minute because of mass perception that he's been hiding cognitive decline is not going to have a positive spin on it. The idea that doing this during the RNC would be a good move is detached from reality.

Do you understand that if he doesn't drop out, there will be vastly more negative cycles about Biden then possibly one negative new cycle about the President stepping aside?

Why would someone want to kill themselves over a policy that doesn't actually affect them personally? Like even if you truly believe that this will cause terrible suffering, then why kill yourself over this but not over kids getting killed in Gaza, kids starving in Africa etc.

Like yeah, this isn't really about trans policies, this someone who is suicidal and needs help

the real concern over the puberty blockers being banned for them is that young trans girls will be forced through male puberty and end up ugly. It's the only way to avoid the man hands/feet. Just look at Kim Petras (before she got fat). The concerns about bone density and life long hormone problems as a result be damned, it's more important the trans kids grow up to be hot.
