One of the things this guy from Germany was asking is why felons can't vote. One of the reasons states don't allow felons to vote while they're in prison is because they could skew local elections. Most felons addresses are the prisons they are in. If you got a prison with 500 people and they decide to vote in some town election where the population is a thousand people you might have a problem. 

There are definitely ways we could mitigate this, but 
1: most people don't give a shit about inmates, voting and 
2: most inmates don't give a shit about voting.

There is some kind of march with a 10,000+ attendance in the UK literally every week (often multiple times a week) and they are not considered newsworthy ever.

I have worked for news organisation where we were accused of bias for ignoring them all the time, but we ignored them all equally.

One hesitation I have about Shapiro is how pro-Israel he is. Although he has been vocal about his dislike for Netanyahu, I don't think he's called for a ceasefire either. If Harris can commit to being tougher on Israel and Shapiro backs that position, that will be great. A Jewish voice backing calls to end the violence could be key to moving the needle on the issue in terms of US sentiment. But if he's not going to toe the line on that, then I don't want him.

I just came back from vacation from the Dominican Republic but was thinking of this place over the weekend of just how black and white it can be on topics.

On the topic of Republican = Bad

I met a bunch of pleasant Americans, while we kept politics to a minimum there was some who explained in detail that while they hate Trump they are still republicans for a bunch of seemingly valid reasons and then went on to explain in thoughtful detail why voting democrat does not make sense for them.

Republicans = bad doesn't mean all Republicans are cartoonish sociopaths. Your pleasant interactions with a tiny number of people doesn't suddenly take away their actions, what they vote for, or invalidate the opinions of people they are intentionally doing irreparable harm to. I doubt you could give any seemingly valid reasons to vote Republican that actually hold up to the tiniest bit of scrutiny. You seem to think people saying Republicans are bad don't have interactions with these people in real life.

Thankfully my only issue now is sexually. It's like once a week I gotta run maintenance on "this thing" and it feels like I nutted an actual nut or passed a stone

It's probably worth considering why that is. If that many people are having an issue being heard that often... maybe your publication isn't doing it's job, or maybe that job is not what you think? Especially if you consider this happened in a city with a population of like 275k people, with %15 of the entire transgender/non-binary UK population. Is the point of the news not to tell you what is happening around you?? It would be useful information to know that 40k people are going to be in the street. Especially if I want to join them.
