Walz for VP. Not gonna lie I'm stunned at how well Kamala is running her campaign since the minute it started. No leaks, no fuck ups, and now she picked the clear best choice for VP. Yes, Shapiro would guarantee PA but democrats have won that state in every election since 1992 except for one (when a certain dumbass candidate decided to only campaign in one city there). PA has very friendly early voting laws, dem governor, dem secretary of state...Kamala will win it, I'm not concerned. 

Walz shores her weaknesses up in the Midwest overall and was the best pick for labor. He's also going to embarrass Vance in a debate.

Overall there is an interesting dynamic as both sides are just trying to appeal to their own base more in order to try and expand it.

They clearly do not believe that there is any kind of 'ceiling' for their candidates like the pundits and pollsters do and that there are still many non-voters they can convince.
Instead of trying to make 50 more disgruntled Democrats in Wisconsin change camps back from Biden to Trump, team Trump seems to think there is probably more than 50 Adin Ross followers or golf players that would vote for Trump if they can get them to turn out.

The same thing is happening on the Democratic side. Instead of trying to win back voters that voted Biden but are dissapointed about the high prices or the weak response to the Hamas protests, they focus on finding more Swifties and single cat ladies on ZOOM to twerk with Momala.

The "pro Hamas" segment of this country is irrelevant. Republicans who keep bringing up Michigan should look at a map for once, or some election results. The area where the Arab population is the highest has been voting republican in recent years due to LGBTQ issues. Their support for a dem ticket was never firm and more importantly...they are heavily out weighed by black voters and students in Michigan. Kamala wasn't losing this state regardless. Shapiro had clear issues in the vetting process, apparently ALLEGEDLY getting a guy off for murder because he's from a rich family. The Israel shit struck me as the least egregious issue compared to that and school voucher support. 

Kamala is rightfully focusing on the Midwest. She understands that nothing else matters if she wins MI, WI, and PA. Best way to do that was to pick either Walz or Shapiro, and she went with Walz. He was clearly the best choice.

One of my biggest complaints about The Apprentice was when Trump kicked out the Trump Organization business people to install his family members as the viceroys and overseers. Queen Ivanka is great but it's partly because she wasn't just a lame sycophant for their dad. Jr. pretty much refused to ever disagree except for one time when it was too obvious Trump was refusing to accept anything about the person he decided to hate. The jokes everyone makes about Eric nowdays are basically things that were all said about him before from the show because he was exactly like that whenever he appeared and you could tell nobody in the family respected him in the slightest. 

edit: Also, you could tell that like every wannabe dictator Trump respected Ivanka more in part because she did push back at him versus the sons being complete toadys. It's the weirdest thing, and it's coming from people who never heard of Dearborn until late 2023. There are 110k people in Dearborn btw. For reference, Biden got around 240k votes in Detroit alone in 2020. Obama got 287k in 2012. I don't expect Kamala to match Obama but she won't need to. She'll do better than Biden by some margin, run up the score and win the state handily. 

BTW, Michigan and Pennsylvania are now legally allowed to count early votes before the polls close on election day. I will bet any amount of money that the Trump campaign has the lawsuits ready to go already, and the minute vote batches start getting added to the totals his campaign will file them. It's not going to work obviously but that's not the point. The point will be to, once again, insinuate fraud and demand the results not be certified by state boards, and then by congress on January 6th.

There are simply too many potential early and mail ballots for me to believe Trump can win either state, barring a surprise (economic collapse, scandal, etc).
