Honestly, I don't see the big issue but it seems like it really grinds their gears if a guy says: "Hell yeah, I'm a war vet!" and only pushed some paper or sat on the bench while his buddies DIED IN THE MUD. The main point of contention seems to be that he(?) says he didn't know that they were going to be deployed before he quit but his superior officer says that he did know. Plus there are some random errors about how he defended Bagram airport in Iraq, which was in Afghanistan or descriptions of his rank and title in speeches over the years. 

The outrage reminds me of the Walther character in The Big Lebowski, lamenting the sacrifices of the bois in 'Nam.

Was a good discussion once they cleared up the DDOS issue.  Started out initially a bit heavy on campaign talking points but eventually the conversation developed a better back and forth dynamic as Musk and Trump got more comfortable with it. Trump's certainly got a bit of the "old mans" in him since he had on occasion rambled back to previous point, but I think most guys his age tend to get that way when they're fired up about stuff (my dad is sharp as a tack but still up in his years and can certainly be the same way when he gets on a roll talking about certain things). Obviously I'd feel better were Trump 20 years younger, but this is the hand we've been dealt this cycle...

Apparently Musk made the same offering to the Kamala campaign, but I'm guessing they'll decline because it would make more obvious what an incapable puppet she is that's only on the ticket to be a proxy for uniparty interests.
