The biggest problem with "these" kinds of games is that they so often look like shit. I actually only watched the trailer just now, and the visuals remind me of those trash asset flip games that used to be endlessly featured on The Jimquisition.

It's very possible make woke-as-fuck games that are good and interesting. Hell, you can even introduce retroactive wokeness post-release and still get full social credit (See: the after-the-fact trans-ing of the girl from Celeste).

For so many of these projects, it seems like teams are trying to skate by on leftist-twitter-coded keyart (and, on the flipside, blame the keyart chuds when the game underperforms). So many of these projects would be better of as a book or a comic IMO.

While I think this game was in production before Hifi Rush was released… I just want to point out that both have a similar theme and setting, but Hifi Rush felt more since and earnest on it.

The trailer felt, at times, trying take the piss of the whole diversity shit but dunno if is just they being clueless.
