I thought this, but even some of the more positive reviews say the game is exactly what you expect it would be. Apparently it has no deep message or twist or anything clever or insightful to say. 

I was momentarily tempted to buy it myself because I briefly thought the game might be a stealth "these problems are really complicated, actually", but apparently it doesn't do that.

EDIT: I just noticed the shirt too...shades of "I don't care...do u?". The whole thing is a missed opportunity, it seems.

The thing is, the first departments to drink the DEI Koolaid are usually HR and support roles (i.e. womens jobs). Those people are tasked to hire new people for the development teams.
They're not going to hire the programmers in anime t-shirts that get shit done but the people that fit into 'their culture'.

When he took over as director, he found out that they didn't even put 'has experience making FPS games' in the list of requirements. During COVID he found out that some didn't even have PCs with GPUs at home. Some didn't even play video games, so he had to always explain things in other FPS games he recently played that he was inspired by. He got into a fight with the HR manager because they/them started to show up in game design meetings and suggested changes to the gameplay.  [/hide]

Companies like Microsoft and Google hired incompetent nincompoops because they were gay, retarded or both to 'fit into the culture' or hired an Indian who then proceeded to hire his entire village. While the 'anime' avatars on X are nearly all AI entrepeneurs, building their own start-ups. Creating scary realistic AI models to bring animu to life making millions trading crypto. Either not landing jobs in big tech or leaving those companies because of all the nonsense.

In the days of Carmack and Romero those 'bros' worked on the games. Now the games are being made by the people that want 9 - 5 jobs and are scared of guns (literally, the producer of Halo is literally scared of guns, look it up yourself. It's true).
