Sony probably wants to avoid a situation were one of their partner studios gets poached by a competitor.

Activision employs 2000 devs from their own studios + outsourcing to deliver COD every 12 months and post launch content. Expecting a COD-caliber title from Firewall or Deviation is just unreasonable.

Every major publisher has the capability to make a COD quality fps, they just dont have the budget to put 1 out every year. At any given time Activision is developing 3 or more COD games across its 11 COD studios. Sony's not trying to put 1 out every year, thus they can easily match the quality of a single COD game.

Smart acquisition. Sony going to be a live service/fps power house.

Sony must be feeling real good about what they're working on.

Seems like it makes sense if Sony really liked what they are building. The day we actually see all of these Sony live service games come to fruition is going to be very interesting.

I'm sure this has already been speculated, but does anyone else feel like Sony is doing everything possible to make sure Halo does not have a come back? I feel like getting Bungie was their way of blocking Microsoft from acquiring them to work on Halo... And now this.

I literally know nothing about concord other than the bazz the person of gender who learned to fight by being a box cutting wage slave and the fat mexican kid, but this little low budget clip is kind of neat...why the fuck didn't the game try to capture this kind of vibe/art?

Not for nothing, the chud sphere has landed a couple victories lately. That Star Wars show flop. Concord and Dustborn flops. Even Lizzo is trying to lose weight.

They’ll try and take credit for those failures. But it was more a self goal.

66 pages and they're still trying to figure out why people didn't want to pay £40 for a generic hero shooter with uninspiring characters and bland maps. It's a proper mystery. I doubt they'll ever get to the bottom of it.

Hey, Days Gone is awesome! I wouldn't call it a masterpiece but its way better than the reviews, which I think reviewers were docking because the protagonist looked like a biker CHUD Trump voter.

Which of course, pans out the other direction in the game's story.

The zombies are called "freakers."

Was it Exel who burst her beans about this?  Laying out that fact like some sort of killing blow.  Maybe it was Crossing Eden but they raised such a stank and never offered why it was offensive(?)  So the mods followed along and banned anyone who disagreed because who knows, maybe Excel or Eden would come back with a legit reason.  

Excel and Eden.  That's a sitcom I would watch.  It would be like Perfect Strangers crossed with What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

The dog-piling really was something else, the "Steam concurrent players" threads had nearly 5000 replies, all because "game not good", it's not like anyone was standing up for any injustice or anything here. Pulling a live service game after 2 weeks is bizarre on Sony's part, and an awful shame for the devs who worked for years on it and now their work is totally inaccessible, regardless of quality.

I'd be all for a "no beating the dead horse" policy on here so this community isn't complicit in future.

Regardless of definition, everybody I’ve spoken with who’d be one or the other see it as this: expat is a temporary arrangement. You’re a citizen of a nation currently residing in another for work. No intention to renounce your original citizenship or claim another. Immigrant treated as long term, aiming for naturalization and citizenship.

I’ve never met a White person offended by the immigrant label. Nor have I met a non-White desperate to be seen as an expat. Most aren’t that concerned about labels. Of course this is from the western POV and not like a gulf state where immigrants are only temporary workers with no avenue for citizenship and many rights and are deported after work. While expats are instagram influencers living in Dubai. Male influencers, to be precise.
