Me being a black guy owning homes in HOAs for 12 years, don’t really need to be lectured on these experiences.

I think my personal experiences are going to provide all of the insight needed.

Like I said, in a decent neighborhood, HOA or not, neighbors would be defending the fisherman. And believe it or not, there are HOAs that would have done just that. So the hyperbolic, absolutism does no service to the discussion, from my perspective.

What I saw here is an ignorant neighbor rushing to the defense of his racist neighbor. It’s common feature of living while Black in America-The oppressors are the victim, Black guy is responsible for easing the tensions. That the ignorant guy was in HOA leadership doesn’t move the needle for me, unless he took some sort of retaliatory action, the fact that he’s dancing on eggshells to get a favorable response tells me he knows he has no recourse.

This is the "But my friends who joined the police force are good people and would never do any of the bad thing you see all these other police doing" for HOAs.

So, all I can suggest from this outside, uniformed position over here, watching more objectively the trail as a media circus where both sides where presenting a propaganda show, and the audience's response to that... is that Depp's lawyers did the most effective propaganda. Weirdly so.

So did O.J.'s, at the time. I don't think televising these trials is a good idea.
