Hello, thank you for the approval. I've been visiting resetera since 6 months ago and really like the conversation so finally decided to join in. I've been playing games since late 80s , I started my journey with arcades, Atari 2600 and Famicom also being a pc gamer since 1995 .
Nowadays i like Jrpgs, P&C ,Platformers and Sim racing games like Gran turismo. I'm looking forward to DQIII HD 2D and Romancing Saga 2.

I Had a really fun time this morning Playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo Online and I realized something at the end of my hour long session. I did not win a Match not a single one. Zero.

However It was Tons of Fun playing the Game learning My character Learning my Opponents Character.

I think a lot of people (Understandably) Only Find enjoyment from Fighting Games or Competitive multiplayer When they Win. But there's plenty of Fun to be Had even facing great challenge


I Have not played Super Turbo Much before so Loosing is expected But Last week in a Game I'M Pretty Good at (street Fighter 6) My best experience was Getting my Ass Beat a Set against a Player much better than me. I played 30 Matches and Only Won 2 of them but Those 2 wins were Magically and seeing myself Improve Game by Game as we played gave me great satisfaction


And it Clicked! this feeling of Learning an Opponents Patterns and Overcoming Stacked odds is exactly Like The Rush from Fighting Dark Souls Bosses .


I contently hear people frustrated or complain about how fighting Games are too Hard (I don't thin k there particular Harder than other Competitive multiplayer games but that's a whole other discussion) and if your in that Boat and a Souls Fan Looking at these games with a different mindset might be helpful.

instead of looking to win A majority of your matches Look at your opponents as Bosses to overcome. I don't know about yall but i don't go in expect an positive win rate Against The Bosses Souls games are cooking up

We often talk about the hypocrisy of ResetEra but this is an especially disgusting example of it.

If you guys recall, Era have always been mercilessly out for Katsura Hoshino's blood. Who can forget the infamous, and utterly insane, "The Phobic Crimes of Katsura Hashino" thread?

All those examples listed in that thread can, at absolute best, be described as 'bad jokes' and both a sign of the times the games were made in as well as straight out cultural differences. Nothing is intended to deliberately cause hate or offence. Atlus have changed a great deal in the past decade, and especially in the 5 years since that thread was first made.

Yet ResetEra just can't fucking let it go. 

Every single opportunity they get, you constantly have forum celebrities like Neoxon, PlanetSmasher and 99% of the Trans-mafia constantly bringing up a few seconds of footage from games that take 100 hours to complete as 'proof' that Atlus is still phobic.

And I find it particularly revolting because just days ago there were 100's of comments from people expressing concern about the unfair hatred Bloober team received over the Silent Hill 2 remake. There was also this hand-wringing thread where people express their 'concern' over game developers getting excessive amounts of hate:
