I have a prescription for Ambien to deal with some very serious sleep, issues. I'd prefer to not have it associated with racist assholes for the sake of memes or armchair internet diagnosing.

Ambien already has an association with racist, affluent, middle-aged white women doing stuff like this. It's a popular prescription for that demo and has led to a lot of them revealing more of their racism than they may have sober. I think that phenomenon is relevant to the discussion.

So recently I’ve had some major luck in a certain area of my life. I’m a drummer and lately that has kinda taken off and I am starting to get professional gigs. I recently did a studio session for some work on a local artist’s album, and the studio engineer seems to really like me for some reason. He’s a super nice guy, but seems really impressed by my playing and wants to show me more engineering/mixing stuff and play on his solo work.

For some reason, I never ever think anyone likes me, so when someone does, I’m just like… why? There has to be an ulterior motive or something, is how I think. Why the fuck am I conditioned this way? Why can’t I just be friends with people? I think I’m just in shock this dude likes me, I feel like most people generally don’t. And it makes me doubt what his motives are. I don’t know, I’m rambling. But I can’t make it make sense. Once I start to get close to people, I push them away.

It also doesn't really make sense narratively to me either. 
I can buy that Spider-Gwen "coming out" to her dad can be seen as trans allegory (though, honestly it's more of a general coming out that can apply to a lot of different life situations, that's the point of allegories after all) but if you believe that she actually is trans, then she already went through all of this and found unwavering support in her dad. So why would she then be so scared and worried when going through the same thing again with her dad?
It would be like telling the same story twice, with the characters for some reason having the same fears all over again.
