I don't know why people like Echoes think modern day media haven't been pandering to the LGBT set for at least the last 10ish years. The amount of LGBT content in modern day media has never been as high as it currently is. Does heterosexual content still dominate media? Of course. Despite what ERA or some in the LGBT community think, heterosexuality is still by far the most dominate sexuality globally. Without question. It is entirely natural, then, that heterosexuality is the norm, not the exception, in media.

Long story short, someone from my old MMO days reached out to me a couple years back and we talked for a bit, but conversations with him veered into attention-seeking creepy stalker vibes over time. I kept talking to him while trying to get him to straighten himself out, but the last straw was initiating a Discord call while I was driving to work over the past week. I was super pissed off about it, because I thought it was family or co-workers trying to contact me. I decided enough was enough and just blocked his ass everywhere.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, it turns out he has an account on this very forum, and DMed me here. Tried explaining the Discord call as accidental butt dialing. I put him on ignore, but it seems he still has the ability to DM me. Even sent me some messages with Discord chat among other people in that MMO community dated 2019 (I actually quit said MMO around 2016-2017-ish) speculating about how 'hot' I might be. Bleh. Is there anything on this site that allows me to just block this fool from being able to talk to me completely?

As for why I haven't reported him, I think the mods here have better shit to do than to get involved in some he-said-she-said shit that ultimately began with off-site drama (that would just be immediately solved with a true block function if it already exists and I just haven't found it yet), though I might just be exercising too much restraint here.

That being said, I feel their is a big difference between straight men pushing for women to be their perfect brides and wlw and mlm fans pushing and asking for more representation (through discussion, fan art, fan fiction, shipping, feedback forms companies sometimes do, not harassment, threats, spamming devs personal media accounts etc) in their favourite works, especially if said series is lacking in that field or being very coy with it (I'm not going to be made to feel guilty for what I said earlier in the page for example), especially when the latter groups are often shammed and talked down to be straight men and women.

That moment of self awareness when you accuse others of the exact thing you've been doing this entire time. But of course it's different when you do it.
