Mostly during walks in the park. I walk generally, mostly doing podcasts and audiobooks, but there's been such great TV of late--Shogun, Fallout, etc. That I've been using the preload functions and piecemealing them in my walks. Many times, I can only stream, but I have unlimited data and a decent connection. It destroys my battery tho.

I only do this park paths, not the street, I'm no insane and it's only 30 minutes at time. But I've been loving it.

Spatial audio on my Airpods is also pretty good. It's not my Sonos HT setup, but it's good!

You guys should start this if you want to habit stack more.

Here's a habit stack entremet should try.....Shut the fuck up. Want to watch something like Lawrence of Arabia on your iPhone, go ahead. I would expect nothing less from a brain-dead moron like him. 

There was a clip going around some months ago of one of these productivity maxing weirdos watching “content” at 2.5x speed and wholesale skipping parts. No emotional or intellectual stimulation. Like the goal is to beat a movie by hitting the credits. Or how kids would check sparknotes instead of reading and having original thoughts. These are hobbies yet they’re treated as tasks for these robots to complete.

Check out the totals in some of the 50/50 (books/movies) threads. People claiming to have read 300+ new books in a year. Like I know it's technically possible, but there's no way that's enjoyable.

My parents live in the country and I was there over the weekend, there's very little light pollution so you can see space very well.
I don't stargaze often but it was a clear night and I decided to just gaze a little. The last time I did this was easily five years ago and damn, things have changed.

I noticed a shooting star. "Huh, wow!"
Then another one. "...Hang on a sec."
Then two more. "Fucking Elon."

I was genuinely aghast at how many I spotted up there, easily half a dozen in 30 minutes or less.
I also tracked one going across from East to West and it was easily monitored for 10 minutes or so.

I think the number of satellites in the sky is set to double by 2030. Progress, sure I guess.
Won't feel the same way though looking up at night though.

To be fair, not all satellites are Musk's. I've been stargazing long before Musk launched his into space and you could easily spot multiple satellites every couple of minutes.

I don't think too highly of most Trump voters from an intellectual standpoint. My in-person reaction to some of these town halls and exit interviews has been one of "Holy shit, you can't even give me a cogent political argument to justify your vote for Trump!"

But the fact of the matter is that buried within the ignorance, insecurities, and bigotries of a lot of these people is actually an allyship you could tap into if you all stopped long enough to stop calling them stupid to realize that.

I've seen whole-ass, Confederate-flag waving alt-righters literally point out left-leaning arguments about how rigged the game is against the working class, but their personal inclinations and lack of education mean they're unable to make the leap towards a systemic critique of capitalism, which is- ironically- part of the fault of liberals who again keep insisting that capitalism is the best thing on the planet. Like, they're literally right at the edge. The brain cell is working... and then they go "But immigrants/Jews/Black people/queers."

What we need to actually organize and educate the masses and forge some sense of unity against capitalism and its protectors. But that's not going to happen because you all believe the masses are not worth your time.

And again, you keep being flabbergasted that you're losing to rapey fascists.

Hasan said it best on Twitch after the election happened, the left side is too quiet on social media and not represented enough in the spaces they need to be represented in. When you think about it, the Right Wing side is represented vastly across different mediums. Joe Rogan has the number one podcast in the world, Elon Musk owns X, Andrew Schulz is one of the more popular comedians and is full on right wing, Dana White owns the fucking UFC, FOX as a whole pushes Right Wing agendas and completely fabricated bullshit and the social media apps with algorithms are all dominated by Right Wing influencers who know how to perfectly manipulate young men, thus the right wing having that young and innocent men-to-full on right wing pipeline.

The left side has none of that at all. The left side has, at most, AOC. And unless they plan to back her fully and help her become the face or voice of the left side, they might just be doomed again. The left side needs to change their approach with social media and entertainment spaces if they want to win people over again or create a new generation of people who believe in left ideologies. We need to see more left wing folks on podcasts, in videos or streams with other creators, on Tiktok getting important information or "did you know?" type of stuff out to people and in other places where they can get their messages across to young folks. We can't just rely on hoping that people get entrenched in their communities due to the fallout of this election and have that be what pushes more people to vote for whoever the Dems presidential candidate ends up being in 2028.

Again with the "everyone not left of Marx is a Nazi" rhetoric. People who would otherwise vote Democrat are turned off by this bullshit and will vote for the guy not calling you a heinous irredeemable piece of garbage.

I just read a reddit post about potential vote switching at the tabulation stage by Elons software used in swing states. Many people with statistical and political science degrees cannot make sense of it and a very implausible amount of ballots cast with the only selection being DJT. Corresponding to an interview with trump and musk kind of talking about it and trump asserting he has enough votes already. It seemed legitimately possible. Not sure if real or not.
