If you think trans women shouldn't be able to play women's sports, again, whatever, I can understand that perspective.

But gender disphoria is a real thing and there is a reason that suicide rates in the trans community are so high. There are a thousand things to make fun of era for, but it doesn't need to happen at the expense of basic human empathy. Despite the extreme victimhood nonsense that some of them perpetrate on Twitter, it's still a fact that trans people are some of the most marginalized on earth.

Diminishing them by stating that they're just pretending or will never be "real" men or women, or making fun of the marginalization they ensure is just gross ignorance. Laugh at the dumb shit they do, not who they are.

Gender dysphoria as it is today isn’t real, as anyone can claim to have it and we have to just accept their delusions. Person with tons of plastic surgery and a sex change surgery? Yep. Guy with a beard, blue hair and wearing a mini skirt somehow? Sure. Guy with a knife entering the women’s restroom? Yep. All 3 can claim to have gender dysphoria and we have to accommodate society for them.

It's a South Korean production, originally made for a South Korean audience. Other Netflix international shows like Money Heist and Alice in Borderland had trans characters played by women. I know Americans have this blood memory of demanding the entire world submit to their culture. But general audiences aren't so in the weeds that they make the distinction. It's a net "good" for the cause. Both of those shows were pretty sympathetic portrayals. Well, mostly. The character in Money Heist was nicknamed Manila.
