Bungie established itself with HALO so hard that even Destiny couldn't take it out. Marathon looks pretty, and it may take some interesting chances with gameplay, the same way that Apex bet hard on mobility, and Fortnite bet on doll fetishes.

It most definitely is.
Between ze economy, concord and just overall the gaming audience being done with these type of games. Especially when they're full priced AAAAA+. Games like The Descendants only have staying power because of the waifus. Stack their internal woes, the art style not translating well to in-game assets and Sony breathing down their necks on top of it and you have a recipe for disaster. |
