A while back, there was some big sexual assault drama about a buddy of mizkifs and OTK (the streamer gang asmongold was part of), and the discord chat logs about it got leaked.
You can probably find them pretty easily, or a tl'dr on old drama streams, but basically most of them were going "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck how are we gonna cover this up this looks really bad".
Asmongold went "nah, fuck that guy, cut him loose right now, and stop trying to cover shit up."
This was leaked private chat, he had nothing to gain and was actually going against the group.
For all the shit talking about what an incel mysogynist he is and hasan is the only person who can stem his flow of corruption, I wonder if hasan would be taking the "be honest about what happened" route if he was on the hook of a scandal.
It was also insinuated over on Era that Asmongold is only advocating against girl streamers going to twitchcon for opportunistic reasons...but he was warning women streamers not to go before Twitchcon even happened. So he's been pretty consistent here.
However, I disagree with Asmongold on this point. I think all streamers, male and female alike, should attend Twitchcon. In fact I think attendance should be a mandatory requirement for even having a Twitch account, whether you stream or not.
