She was so affected by this that she actually wrote and published a book you can buy on Amazon about how this whole event affected her and her children going into specific details about her ex's medical transition.

Bonus mode is that she uses male pronouns for her ex the entire book and has transgendered in the title.

This is a common thing with these people. The love to say "Listen to women", but the second a women say or does something they don't approve of, then it's "internalized misogyny", "self-hatred", "TERF bitches", or they are just completely ignored/marginalized. Just see how many female posters were either banned or threadbanned from the "Why Women criticize...." thread, with many of those bans often instigated by male posters, as a prime example.

I don't even know if I want a response. But it's been years since I posted a "Roy went on a bad date" thread.

So, I was on a first (?) date last night with someone I've known casually for a while now. I wouldn't say we're friends, we run in different circles, but those circles frequently overlap. We have mutual friends, we've been at the same parties, I've talked to him before, etc.. I had never stopped to think if I was attracted to him, but he is attractive, and he apparently thinks I'm attractive too because he asked me out (and, according to a mutual, has been asking about me for while).

Based on previous conversations with him, I thought "cool! we'll have a good time at least." I don't date guys looking for husbands. I date for a fun time.

We agree to my favorite type of date -- not planned, we meet up in the city and walk around looking for something fun to do. We meet up downtown and walk for a bit until we end up at a food spot. We sit down and eat and that's around the time I notice that I'm carrying the conversation. Granted, I talk a lot and I know this, but he's contributed little to nothing. Which is a huge departure from how he usually is. I know him, I've spoken to him before. He's usually loud and cocky and walking the line between narcissist and confident, and I LIKE that. He's usually got a lot to say, but on this date...at one point we literally have this interaction:

Him: Roy, can I ask you a question?
Roy: Sure
Him: Because I just don't want to offend you...
Roy: Ok, I doubt you'll offend me...
Him: And I just want to make sure I'm not being ignorant...
Roy: Cool...what's your question.?

And I don't want to say what his question was, in case he has an Era account, but let's just say that his question didn't require even half of this lead up. Or shyness. And it was around this point that I thought...where did this come from? All night he seemed to be acting as though he were on eggshells. One of the most attractive traits about this guy, to me, has been how loud and outspoken he is, btut on this date up to this point, it felt like pulling teeth. We went from the dinner spot to a bistro that a friend of his opened, and it was the same thing: me pulling conversation out of a guy that was buried in a shell that I hadn't known existed up to that point.

We ended up at a dance club late night. He was multiple drinks in and very handsy by this point -- which I encouraged, because it was better than nothing. But, when we left that club...I pointedly didn't invite him over for the night.

This is a common thing with these people. The love to say "Listen to women", but the second a women say or does something they don't approve of, then it's "internalized misogyny", "self-hatred", "TERF bitches", or they are just completely ignored/marginalized. Just see how many female posters were either banned or threadbanned from the "Why Women criticize...." thread, with many of those bans often instigated by male posters, as a prime example.

It's just "false consciousness" which underlies entire fields of "experts" for self-declared elites to pat themselves on the back for always knowing better than everyone so it's actually a good thing to remove agency and capability from people to invest it in a self-declared elite central planning state that allows no deviance or opposition.

This is pretty much everything on there from Nepenthe talking about "her people" who all have a collective mind that's exactly hers or posts talking about how Muslims have been convinced to hate gays by the British or stupid women not understanding how high heels in Diablo harm them or how women are betraying "their kind" when they oppose abortion or don't go see The Marvels or YouTube algorithms turning everyone into chuds by serving them MCU dislike and Mr. Beast's capitalist propaganda.. it's always about how the fools have been manipulated into something and we need the special naturally immune people who can see all the manipulation and evil conspiracies to protect everyone by having absolute power to decide everything so nobody will ever again be misled into hate or error and we can finally all peacefully love one another forever in perfect ordered singular direction by them until human nature changes and people can be once again trusted to take a carrot, leave a carrot. 

edit: This is also why they support the idea that trans women are more in tune with seeing the "transphobia" inherent in THE BEAST or whatever and dissent on these points aren't supposed to be discussed in public, same with racism or whatever else, they're supposed to be able to see the manipulation at work so they shouldn't disagree and you should just shut up and listen.
