I feel a little neglected but it's a temporary problem so I don't know that it's worth bringing it up. I don't know if this has been posted in the thread for the DC skins but Fortnite has added multiple female skins with boob jiggle physics this year. Three of them are collab skins, Meg from Hercules, Mercy from Overwatch and Kafka from Honkai Star Rail. As for the DC skins added today, the three women all have jiggle physics for their boobs and as far as I'm aware, only Ivy has jiggle physics on her arse.

In the sense that they were gamergaters before Gamergate was a thing, sure. 

Honestly, you could see this behavior during Gaf days.

Gamergate in 2014 ultimately fractured gaming side and it never really recovered. The polarization and zero-sum thinking went into hyperdrive, and anyone perceived as a member of the out-group was banned. Even commenting that you didn't really care about the sex lives of these random devs and journalists would get you perma'd. A lot of the humor and good posters didn't really survive after that. Kind of funny how GAF's downfall is a mirror reflection of real-life politics; culture war bullshit is very much at the forefront now. 

There were RiskyChris's of the world before then, but once excelsiorlef and backslashbunny were domineering discussions on off-topic, the community was probably already cooked. The mods slowly weeded out normies and the weirdos filled the void, especially with the move to Era. 

Who wants to be browbeaten over and over when you just want to talk about dumb shit online? It's just fucking video games, chill the hell out.

I had never read the Doom Patrol run after Grant Morrison left until now. A trans woman, Rachel Pollack, takes over the series and I'm mentioning this at all because it's quite funny. First of all, they move to a house full of sex ghosts living out fetishes that are referred to as SRS. Little on the nose, but a decent enough pun I suppose. Then they introduce a former prostitute drawn as an entirely passable woman with zero hints who has gained powers and spend about five issues dropping hints that SHE'S NOT A CIS WOMAN but CLIFF STEELE IS ATTRACTED ANYWAY WON'T HE BE SURPRISED. (Don't worry, he'll be understanding and true love will win out. Not that they can even have sex because Cliff is a robot.)

At this point, if it's not obvious this is a mary sue expy, we get an entire multi-issue plotline where the bad guys are the ones who imposed not only language but gender on humanity in order to control us and place us inside a box and suck out our life forces so we just mindlessly serve rather than feel anything. The good guys are all genderless emotional free spirits in touch with every aspect of the universe. At the same time that all of this is being explained incoherently at extensive length the trans woman character lectures Cliff that they were always a woman and they always knew they were a woman and we get a backstory that consists entirely of they tried to wear a dress one time as a kid. Also Cliff is the idiot cis normie who keeps asking obviously stupid and embarrassing questions so the trans woman can put him in his place over and over again in brave and stunning fashion where the reader stands and claps.

They're also the only character that can defeat the bad guys because they're also the only one in connection with the genderless free past of emotions and those entities. (Even as this raises the question of why they're trying to impose gender like the bad guys.) And the way to defeat them is that the trans woman's soul has to merge with Cliff's robot body through both having orgasms* which turns into a hermaphrodite body followed by like two issues of drivel about this being so strange yet so right culminating with the trans woman soul grabbing the robot's breasts and exclaiming how this is what she wanted. (Then all of this sort of turns out not to matter at all because the genderless things do some deus ex machina instead.)

It just really amused me to read. Over thirty years ago and literally all the same shit.

It's an argument that characters shouldn't wear any clothes at all because they can't choose which clothes to wear. But also that they shouldn't be naked because they can't choose not to wear clothes. Really, characters shouldn't be depicted at all.
