She's an "insider" with the "tech" world which is apparently personified by Twitch. Which is why she did such timeless reporting as: https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/06/26/keffals-trans-twitch-streaming-news/
This is just the funniest of Taylor's articles but basically they were all like this.
She wrote a book about it:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/101160112-extremely-online wrote:Acclaimed Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz presents a groundbreaking social history of the internet—revealing how online influence and the creators who amass it have reshaped our world, online and off.
For over a decade, Taylor Lorenz has been the authority on internet culture, documenting its far-reaching effects on all corners of our lives. Her reporting is serious yet entertaining and illuminates deep truths about ourselves and the lives we create online. In her debut book, Extremely Online, she reveals how online influence came to upend the world, demolishing traditional barriers and creating whole new sectors of the economy. Lorenz shows this phenomenon to be one of the most disruptive changes in modern capitalism.
By tracing how the internet has changed what we want and how we go about getting it, Lorenz unearths how social platforms’ power users radically altered our expectations of content, connection, purchasing, and power. Lorenz documents how moms who started blogging were among the first to monetize their personal brands online, how bored teens who began posting selfie videos reinvented fame as we know it, and how young creators on TikTok are leveraging opportunities to opt out of the traditional career pipeline. It’s the real social history of the internet.
Emerging seemingly out of nowhere, these shifts in how we use the internet seem easy to dismiss as fads. However, these social and economic transformations have resulted in a digital dynamic so unappreciated and insurgent that it ultimately created new approaches to work, entertainment, fame, and ambition in the 21st century.
Extremely Online is the inside, untold story of what we have done to the internet, and what it has done to us.

Taylor's not the only journalist who visibly simps over Hasan, that former Kotaku editor trying to fight and/or sue everyone is even worse. There's a clip of her like hovering around in the distance following Hasan at some con. To her credit, Taylor probably would walk up and demand his attention though instead of being awkward and weird.
I don't know why Alyssa is so shy. Hasan is a well-documented enthusiast of disgusting slags.
Spoiler: (click to show)(click to hide) It's the only thing he and I have in common.
Keffals is a name I haven't heard in a hot minute, last time I check that streamer started a whole campaign to take down kiwi farms that amounted to absolutely nothing then fled to Ireland.

They pop up every now and then. Last I checked they've gained lots of weight and seems even more drugged out.

Sasha, if you want, we can go grab a drink and talk about it better.
Hasan running out of friends.
At the risk of sounding parasocial, the very obvious and sensible angle here is this:
> QT accidentally spills the beans about the collar on some random clip
> Hasan retards start going at her like insane retards
> QT panics
> Ludwig is is QT's boyfriend (which I am just now learning, you're telling me this for the first time), and doubles down on her side by saying "yeah idgaf about Hasan"

For someone who hates streamers, Dave sure knows a lot about them
Someone's gotta do it.

It's also not TECHNICALLY CORRECT, the group who massacred the French soldiers was a spin-off. (Because the original was committing too many war crimes.)
I searched for gameplay of something and there was this jank ass looking nine hour stream in the results and I clicked onto the profile, anyway I watched the first couple minutes of this because it kept being unintentional comedy:
Somehow has 212 subscribers.

Quote:There has to be a point where the average person realizes she's just going to defend Hasan no matter what right?
Honestly anyone who slightly slights or negatively mentions Hasan, she runs to defend him instantly.
I'm not even involved in this Drama and I only know of her because she's constantly beefing people who come at Hasan.
Quote:Hasan could shoot Denims in the chest and she would say it was a accident.
Quote:Average people do not watch Hasan, or maybe they just see some clips of him where they agree politacally on surface level stuff.
his real fans are in an actual cult. If you agree 99% with him but point the 1% you will get instabanned from their echochambers, making it so only the most crazies remain.
Quote:She's just waiting on her turn to wear the collar.
wow, I haven't seen sasha grey get so satisfactorily fucked by so many people online since, what, 2008?
emiru is cute but she's still a streamer
emiru is a roach on asmongold's shirt
and asmongold is a roach on the shirt of the world
I really understand now why people get into streamer drama. This is like any crazy reality show
you know abuse is serious business when you have a shit ton of no name streamers commentating it for views.
y'all ain't serious at all. Making abuse into react content tells me all I need to know about these shit streamers.

its way better, because you have the added frisson of audience participation by rabidly parasocial fans, and bonus materials play out in real time on twitter
