I’m walking around at 1:30 AM listening to Kokomo and spotted two drunk 50+ salary men using a swing set in a children’s park. I should try melatonin.

They were getting massive air and I couldn’t match. I’m still embarrassed from when I was killing time at a calisthenics area in hibiya park and this old guy stopped by, took off his tie, and showed me up on this vertical monkey bar contraption.

should I buy this? It's a real question. I want a "fun" second vehicle and I'm the right age for a midlife crisis kind of car.
The thing that I kinda like is the fact it's a station wagon with some room. I thought this might be a good road trip car. It has room a looks like it has the *Vroom! Vroom!* I like Used 2007 Dodge Magnum SRT8 Sport Wagon 4D https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale...pe=listing 104,215 miles 6.1L 8-Cylinder Asking $$20,000 Edit: FYI, I am not a "super" car guy but I've done light auto repair stuff, so I'm not too worried about it being a older car. I've replaced alternators, change my own oil, replaced faulty sensors etc

That looks like someone else's problem dude.

Yeah, I know.
I'm a 70s kid so I like big inefficient engines. I've owned a Mustang, Camaro and Firebird back in the day. And yes, I did have a Mullet as was the fashion of the day.I'm looking for something that pushes you back in the seat when you step on it. I don't care about the handling if you know what I mean. My problem is I haven't been into cars for awhile now. I have no idea what I should drop 20k on. I'm not even sure if I should use the 20k to buy it out right or use the money for a downpayment for something stupid nice. But I can't go too nice because I don't want to pay out the ass for service. I'm not a rich guy, I just put aside this money for one last sports car before I die. 1 user liked this post: Potato

I know, ain't that cool!!!
Edit If I'm going to have a midlife crisis car, I should probably repaint it black with lots of flames and skulls. 5 users liked this post: Polident, benji, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Potato, Nintex

I'm a 70s kid too so I'm all for big engined wagons, but that's a nearly 20 year old hoodlum car. You will wanna make sure the previous owner wasn't a hoodlum or at least looked after it before dropping that much on it.
I dunno, I like cars (especially big dumb ones) but I'm not a "car guy" so my opinion may not be valuable here. What else can you get in the same price range? 1 user liked this post: killamajig

Jealous. There’s an old guy around here driving a Jaguar E-Type. King makes up for impotence by revving that sucker on red lights.

While looking for cars I hear people saying there is a used car shortage and thats why it's slim pickin's. I don't know if that's true but it feels that way.
I don't know, man. Maybe I don't need another car and I'm just a depressed cry baby. ![]() Long story short.... I have a health issue that could kill me in the next second or I could live to 100. So I don't want to kick the bucket with a bunch of $$ in the bank but don't want to waste it all on drugs and hookers. I can spent 20k and still have enough in the bank 20k in a car seemed like a good option.

I deal with the public from the time to time.
There's always these big breasted women coming in with low tops. The strength it takes to not look down their shirts is immense. But it balances out when they realize I'm looking at their eyes instead and they ease up. 1 user liked this post: DavidCroquet

So I've been hanging on to a bunch of writings I did now a decade and a half ago about being in love with someone.
Just came across a thing I've read time and time again, and never really captured how devious they are. Ripped everything up and threw it out. Time for a new story. This feels great. 2 users liked this post: who is ted danson?, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth

I’m not one to get homesick but for a couple weeks now I’ve wanted mac and cheese and can’t find a proper version. Couple boxed versions weren’t doing it. I’m told there are a few soul food places, which aren’t very close, but may check out. They also claim that Ye frequents these restaurants. If I bump into him, I’ll ask him to make an account here.

Conan O'briens' dad died earlier this week and his mom died today.

So here is something that happened.
We had a Christmas party at the office and in addition to our employees, former employees and their partners I also invited some folks that we've recently started working with and will basically operate as our sales team next year. This year was our best year in history in terms of revenue and profit. Our biggest shareholder (aka boss) is on vacation so I had to do the speeches and what not and since I'm basically responsible for most of our current success. I caught wind of this founder/builder/accelerationalism mentality in tech and invested and hired instead of cutting back like everyone else. At some point we had to deplete our savings to pay all the wages. But I told them EU regulations would freeze as soon as Trump was in office and that thanks to Elon, Altman and Nvidia AI would explode and everyone would automate not hire because of inflation. It happened as predicted so our big bet paid off and they had a lot of nice things to say about me too. Because even though they don't all agree with the politics they're happy we benefitted and were shielded from the collapse of the sustainability stuff and NGOs that is destroying our competitors. Anyway after my remarks I ended up at the table of the new sales team. Earlier that evening one of them had asked me a couple of personal things (if I had a partner, where I lived etc.) and since she was older (in her 50's) I didn't think much about it. But at that table she turned to her younger co-worker and said: "Didn't you have a question for Nintex, I already know..." and this redhead turned bright red and started to nervously chug down her drink and mumbled something like "oh I'm way too nervous to do this now". And the other two fired more questions at me. If I cooked (and if she cooked), how big my appartment was and more random things. And while that did calm her down a little she never got to ask me her "question" before they left. Anyway suddenly other things that happened earlier started to make sense. Like how I had to show her where the glasses are and how she was sort of nervous whenever standing next to me. And over the past week she called me a lot for things that could've been an email. The first time we met a few weeks ago, the subject of dating apps came up and she lamented dates post 30 being akward and more akin to job interviews. I dunno if it will lead to anything but it's certainly an interesting turn of events. I have her number so I'll text her to see if she is more comfortable to ask her question that way and otherwise I'll ask her if she wants to go on a date sometime. In terms of where we are in our lives (32F / 35M) it seems like a good enough match and I like her character and redheads in general but I have no idea if we share interests. 4 users liked this post: who is ted danson?, HeavenIsAPlaceOnEarth, Uncle, Polident
