Yep stories of student living in tents....25 in a basement etc etc. I think the underlying issue is also that majority of the students and immigrants are from India. Like an insane disproportionate amount. There is an underlying current of racism bubbling up as a result.

I live in a small town, and over the last few years, it's not exaggerating to say that there's more Indians here than Canadians.

All our gas stations and almost all the restaurants are owned by Indians. Almost every worker in the fast food places are Indian college students.

And because they come in such large groups, there's almost no assimilation. It's just India, but in Canada. We went from a manageable number of skilled workers coming here, to a deluge of college-aged kids, in just a few years.

It doesn't really feel like we have a Canadian experience here anymore because of it. It's different in places like Toronto, where there's a large number of different cultures. I'm pro-immigration, but not like this.

Anecdotal, but in my small town type area, we got a metric fuckton of Sikh Indians all of a sudden.

How is that post xenophobic? He's just sharing his "lived experience" and that the Canadian immigration policy hasn't worked out the way it was intended seems to be objectively true by now. The way Germany is going is not a good sign. Basically copying what Canada did and seeing 400k international students forecasted next year. Our crime rate esp in GTA has drastically changed with the large amount of immigration. More groups/gangs committing serious crimes esp car/high end stuff. Have fam in southern Germany and hearing the same in certain areas. Now another attack like this.

He’s making an observation of something that is true and verifiable and felt by many Canadians. Not some fringe conspiracy theory. Trudeau addressed the concerns at a point, with policy reversals, enough that it got international coverage. Guy even says he’s pro immigration. This is reprimanded harsher than users calling for mass killings and almost as harsh as disliking Disney’s The Acolyte. It’s a mystery what drives normal people away.

We are so sad about what happened at Mag-Dee-Bourg but look Muhammed just went looking for his 72 virgins. Which is such a fallacy that it gets two entries for the same incorrect inference:
