I think some of these comments go back to what Michelle and Barack said.

Kamala was always expected to "dazzle" and speak clearly and never misspeak. Everything she said had to be perfect for every voter, there was no 98%. It had to be 100% to your particular values or people were not going to vote and/or vote for her.

But white men do not have to do the same thing. They can say 20% accurate information, say it with 20% the intelligence and charm, and they will win over her every time. They can easily write it out, much like this president did. He barely did any appearances. Kamala went all out. Tom brought energy, Donald just brought anger and boredom.

Black women have to do 400% of the work and they still lose more often than not.

That in turn is an indictment on the majority of the voting populus, aka white people.

Y'all can't depend on Black people for electoral help because we're 13% of the total population, which means the voting population (due to laws and systems everyone continually supports, funds, and dismisses) is inevitably lower than that.

We can't swing elections. Simple as.

At some point white people are going to have to make a concerted effort to actually break down capitalistic and colonial barriers. You're going to have to get rid of white supremacy along with it too. That's gonna be actual work, far more work than most here have ever done. But it's necessary.

A Republican victory was inevitable in the future and no one organized any contingencies because that's just too much hard work.

Believing that TiKTok shouldn't be banned because thousands of people rely on it for their work/small businesses and because it was still one of the best apps for educating about the ongoing genocide is not "defending TikTok." I'm in a place I hate filled with people I somehow hate even more, I'm still not able to find a job, my move just keeps getting indefinitely delayed again and again, and I'm terrified of the political landscape halting me from pursuing the one thing that has given me motivation the last year and actually made me feel good about myself for the first time in my life.

I am Canadian. But I have been distraught, depressed, and anxious since the US elections. It is to the point of almost not being able to function. After work i typically just stay in bed depressed and anxious.
