Captain America: Brave New World had the odds stacked against it this weekend. The movie's reviews have not been great and a B- CinemaScore (the lowest for any MCU movie) suggested it wouldn't have positive word of mouth on its side.

However, Deadline brings some good news today as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follow-up is now on course for a $28.1 million second weekend. That's a drop of -68% from its Presidents' Day weekend debut and a big improvement over Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania  (-70%) and The Marvels (-78%).

It's fine:

In its second weekend, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice experienced a "historic" box-office drop,[234][235] with an 81.2% decline on Friday that was "one of the biggest Friday-to-Friday drops any blockbuster has ever seen", and an overall 68.4% drop for the weekend despite not "facing any big competition at the box office",[236][237][238] making it the second largest decline for a marquee superhero title, behind only 2003's Hulk.[234]

word filters exist to minimise accidental and / or unintentional offence - for example, if one culture finds a word offensive that another culture doesn't, then just add it to the word filter and you don't have to worry about cross cultural taboos, because someone using a filtered word either in the heat of an argument or just unintentional ignorance of it being banned will just go "oh, okay, thats filtered, suppose I'll just avoid using that in future as I guess someone finds that offensive".

Someone actively trying to be offensive won't care, and can actively bypass filters in any one of the many of the time honoured and battle tested forum methods, and take their chance with getting clipped by a moderator for intentional rule breaking.
