I mean, if it's just a joke thread then who cares? I'm talking like, someone fakes a Switch 2 announcement or attributes comments to someone that they never made or something actually harmful or disruptive in some way. We're not using this to come down on silly threads.

Going forward, we are going to break twitter embed functionality on ResetEra. Existing twitter embeds will still function, but you will not be able to use the feature when making new posts. The hope here is that people will start moving away from Twitter as a source of information and go to other sites and platforms.

We will allow screenshots, and links, of tweets but screenshots will need to feature the name of the account and the date it was posted so that we can all avoid trolls and people misrepresenting others.

Here is the breakdown:
Twitter embeds will stop working on a technical level, so you can't embed tweets anymore.
Screenshots, and links, will be allowed in various threads, but they will need to have the name of the account and the date/time it was posted visible.
If you are caught trolling or using fake screens to misrepresent information, or fabricating a screenshots as a joke or to engage in trolling, you will be given a severe ban.

Good, it's for the best. I kept hoping Twitter would be sold since it's hemorrhaging money, but that seems unlikely now that the rat is the shadow president.

I do think Meta embeds deserve the same treatment too though. Zuck is just as guilty for selling out to bigotry.

So something I've noticed is how shipping culture/fandom treats POC especially if they are black. Black characters are often excluded from shipping discourses or treated as the disposable black love interest and so on. Not to mention a lot of hate towards black characters for "getting in the way" of ships really reaches overblown levels (e.g. Supercorp shippers to Jimmy Olsen, Keith/Lance shippers to Allura, Reylo shippers to Finn). On stuff like a03/tumblr top shipping list rarely include black characters.
