Also, on the subject of protest voting and its impact on election outcomes: both Jill Stein's campaign manager and RFK's campaign manager have said their goal was to beat Biden/Harris and had a preference for Trump winning. So if you're a 3rd party voter or a protest voter, believe whatever the fuck you want about what you're doing, but the candidate you're voting for is clear-eyed and intentional about the spoiler effect they have on the race.

(It's also funny to me that people who cast protest votes, or defend protest voting, are also so quick to deny that doing so has any impact on the election. If by your own admission what you're doing has no negligible impact, then what the hell are you doing?)

interesting that the moral stain of re-electing genocide is something we could not come back from but the moral stain of re-electing Trump is perfectly acceptable and actually a fixable problem. Of course it would have to be fixed by…electing Democrats that these people don't want to win!

Also, remember, Nepenthe wasn't even advocating for voting for the candidates against genocide. Her advocacy was not voting period even as she previously had advocated for voting for socialist parties as part of necessary work to do. And B-Dubs was so shamed about disputing her arguing that his dying was worth it that he agreed.

It's also worth noting that Green Party did not cost the Democrats the election, if the Democrats had gotten all the Green Party votes they still wouldn't have won.
