Why are they so against list threads? They're acting like the average thread on Ree has high quality discussions going on. Why do they even pretend to have standards?

I hate that we can't block non-moderation posts from moderators on this site. It's ridiculous that they can post whatever crap they want and we can't ignore them. Seems like an abuse of power. Either give them separate accounts for when they're doing moderation and when they're posting junk or give them a way to tag posts as moderation so they show up even if you have the person ignored.

Been debating whether Saints Row would be worth the PS Plus download. Watched a video and was reminded of that Urkel character. Turned me right the fuck off.

Volition peaked at that Saints Row 2, Red Faction: Guerrilla era, and been downhill ever since. Fans who encouraged that goofy rabbit hole they started to go down with SR3 and onwards are partly to blame for their demise.

Saints Row IV is one of the greatest pieces of writing in human history.

Due to a buildup of stress from relationship issues and my poppop being critically hospitalized since Monday, as well as stress from work, I lost a ton of appetite and desires to drink water. The past week or so I randomly started having my throat close/cause choking every time I started eating. Ended up getting sick from the choking when I did eat, passed out at my toilet, hit my head on the floor, started convulsing, body had an uncontrollable panic shock issue from pain that apparently lasted 90 minutes according to the doctor and now I have a concussion. Sounds like a mess right?

So according to this video from a known insider, SR 2022 was originally going to be like Saints Row 2.5 in tone until Deep Silver interfered and said it wouldn't sell anymore and insisted on the more upbeat story about friends. So let's stop victim-blaming Volition, please?

How they explain that Agents of Mayhem was a bizarre GIJoe/Overwatch hybrid with a setting in Korea? While I don’t doubt corpo wanted a hero shooter, the stuff was so bizarre to be just Corpo BS.

Also, more people will have tolerated the obnoxious nature of the reboot if the gameplay was “good” (that’s why people still play Borderlands). But the gameplay was entirely on Volition.

Most of their stuff is solid. Based on their AOM vids, this could be legit. Whilst I still think that SR2022 was fun and they did the best they could with it despite everything, I would like to have seen their desired game.

If only Volition and the IP were able to exist in a place that allowed them decent support and funding and control.

All of the victim blaming can get fucked. If someone walked up to me, after I lost my job because of the actions of braindead ghouls who own my company and said "you deserve this, you had it coming, I didn't like your work" I'd throw them into the sun.

Yeah, this shit doesn't fly. It wasn't the setting and stuff that failed, it was the execution. They could have done all the crap they did do but not take it seriously, which is what 2 did to the first game's "gangsta" world. The reboot took the "Saints are awesome" stuff from The Third/IV without the tongue-in-cheek and without the establishing antics of the first two games that got them there. These characters and stuff were actually a great idea, but the game should have completely taken the piss out of them and played the whole "they're cool" aspect with the audience knowing they're clearly not really. The Third's conceit was that murderous criminals have become world famous celebrities, it wasn't an actual endorsement of the Saints actions it was making fun of the idea of who can become a celebrity. The Saints have only ever been "righteous" in relation to the increasingly absurd worlds they've been combatting. The reboot seemed almost to invert this and think the Saints should be righteous in relation to our real world.

I suck at driving (I am a 45 year old guy that doesn't know how to drive).

So it took me a while to figure out that cutting your speed helps you make shorter, tighter turns  in a ship. It really helps. Maybe this tip will help someone else lol.
