Regarding the first part of your post, I have no idea what you're talking about. And it's becoming increasingly impossible to link to anything on this forum without someone getting offended by something that isn't exactly common knowledge.

Also, as far as I know, there is no list of banned sources that users can check before sharing something, and there's an entire thread dedicated to a recent video from that channel—without any mod intervention or it getting locked. A professor using AI to help do their job isn't necessarily a bad thing and certainly isn't the same as a student using AI rather than actually doing any work or learning.

The professor already has a base of knowledge and uses tools to enhance that.

Not in the best of moods so this thread is a bit of a vent (note, this isn't anything ERA related, really had some nasty personal experience, please don't treat it as such). What are views that you simply won't compromise, whether it's due to experience, belief that are too important to you to ever compromise on or just sheer bloody stubbornness?

Here are a few of mine.

On the serious end:
Trans rights, I'm sorry but no, I'm never going to compromise on trans rights and will NEVER let someone shame me to vote against my interests like people did last year to convince to vote for labour (I'm glad I never gave in, FUCK STRAMER AND THE LABOUR PARTY). If you want my vote, actually give a shit, no vague promises, no lies, actually show and prove you fucking care. Human rights should never be fucking compromised and the fact that keeps happening in the UK and places like the US just shows how rotten the political system has become and needs to heavily reformed or dismantled for something better to arise.
(Note, what I am saying here is primarily targeted at straight people, this is not targeted at women in ERA), I will not comprise on despising the trope that wlw and lesbian couples can't be happy in fiction and nearly always results in death or tragedy. While I give leeway to works written by wlw and lesbians, especially those telling personal stories or exploring their own feelings (which should be encouraged), I'm sorry I'm not giving leeway to corporate media CONSTANTLY pulling this and I will NOT TOLLERATE being shamed, patronised (anyone who dares pull the "Why should lesbians be above being killed off!?" on me is fucking getting screamed (And counter question, why should lesbians and wlw couples and characters not be able to be happy?!) or feel pressured to back down on it. I'm sorry, if a work uses that trope, I'm going criticize, judge the creatives involved and question it's use. And no, the "We killed half the couple/the couple off but GOTCHA!!! We did a convoluted thing to have our cake and eat it to!" that was popular in the mid-10s for mlm and wlw couples, not to mention superhero fiction (and no, San Junipero doesn't get an exception).
Similar to the above, I'm sorry I'm beyond sick of the idea that's it's good to exclude lesbians and gay man from being playable protagonists and companions in RPGs or games with love interest. I'm sorry no, lesbians and gay men have every right to be in those roles as anyone else, fuck "Choice", fuck "but they ruin my immersion", especially fuck "They can be gay in someone else's game!", fuck "But I'm owed them!" and fuck "But my power fantasy!". I'm sorry but if your power fantasy requires gay men and women never to be protagonist in RPGs (yet straight men like Cloud are a-okay) or are banned from certain roles like companions/squadmates then FUCK YOU POWER FANTASY. Like the above, I will fudge, criticize and question any game that does it, regardless if lesbians appear elsewhere in the game. Both 2 & 3, I've seethed with these for well over a decade online and I'm just done.
I will never compromise on my belief in animal welfare and rights should not just be for what humans consider "cute" and "cuddly", that ALL animals deserve them, especially invertebrates. I hate the fact that animal death and cruelty when it comes invertebrates is constantly treated as funny (edit: I started writing this thread last night and discovered this morning their is a thread on this topic) or acceptable. That utterly ignorant takes like "X species should be exterminated!" are treated a-okay because their "creepy", guess the environment, local ecology or any of the plants and animals that rely on them matter. And I'm so sick of being shamed and made feel like a horrible people for loving insects like Wasps and flies, arachnids, molluscs, Myriapods etc.
I will never compromise in my belief that ableism is wrong, full stop; it doesn't become randomly acceptable based on the target. I've written a massive essay on this but no, "allies" and other progressives don't get a free pass just because their throwing their ableism at chuds, right wing politicians, TERF and other genuinely monstrous human beings; in fact that is fucking hurtful you comparing autistic people to these kind of people for example.
I will never compromise on my belief that women should never ever need to justify their womanhood, we should never feel less of a woman because of how she dresses, looks, her hobbies, likes etc. If a women doesn't like traditionally "girly" things, their a still a woman and should be forced or pressured into liking "girly" stuff. This is especially given how so much of what we classify as "girly" and "boyish", from toys, beauty standards, hobbies to even the fucking idea of pink = girl and boy = blue is arbitrary nonsense often dictated by corporations. This goes for fiction as well. Writers, your badarse women warrior/soldier doesn't suddenly become more "complex" or "well-rounded" just because you randomly give them a "girly" hobby like poetry or love songs.

On the lighter end:
Mash potato, grapefruit, cotton candy and beetroot are horrible and you can't convince me otherwise!

Cyborg, you start the OP off with saying not to attack other users, yet at least half of your listed items appear to be relitigating fights you had or imagined you had (such as the w/ the wasp thread) with other users on this site over the past few weeks.

This is an incredibly stressful time for many thanks to the current news cycle and especially being on TERF-island right now but I fear this sort of "air your grievances" thread, even when dressed up as "state your red-lines", isn't going to be productive and will likely lead to more bitter feelings.

I think a step inward to the communities you belong to rather than a step outward and broadcasting to everyone might be a better way to work though at least some of this stuff.
