Not everyone obsessively curates their Twitter following list, and some people may have just followed someone a long time ago and forgot to unfollow them or wants to follow them to keep an eye on them.

The original movie was written by two white men, Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois. But the remake was written by Mike van Waes and Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, the latter of whom has native Hawai'ian ancestry, so they did try to give it a more authentic Hawai'ian touch. Apparently Chris Kekaniokalani is the one who changed ice cream to shaved ice.

I also strongly suspect Chris Kekaniokalani is the one who introduced a different Hawai'ian concept to this movie: kuleana, which translates to responsibility or duty. Nani tells Lilo at one point, "It's my kuleana to take care of you," which is why she's so hesitant to accept help at the beginning.

Hello Warhammer 40Eras! So as we've known for a while now, their is possibly a live action Warhammer 40k series coming... Maybe, god knows given how much of mess Hollywood seems to be right now.

Anyway, assuming the very likely chance that any series will feature Space Marines, what chapter or chapters do you want to see and what do you want them doing?

Personally, I don't want the Ultramarines get the spot light, I feel they already get a lot of exposure already and if the series is set into the Indomitus crusade, doesn't give you much freedom to create your own unique stories.

Personally would prefer either an original chapter have the focus or a minor chapter, not only would that give you a ton freedom to give you them their own culture, history, characters, stories etc but also lets you make the series your own and create something beloved, like how the Dawn of War series did with their own Blood Ravens or Imperial Armour did for the Red Scorpions (who before were barely a thing) or Ben Counter did for the Soul Drinkers.

My personal choices would either be a White Scar or Blood Angel chapter, the former gives you a justification for smaller parties (saying money and and obvious issue we've seen with other shows) and I think their culture would work well for a TV show, the latter because I think their quirk of the Black Rage would be interesting to see in live action and would be fascinating to see on screen.

My personal pick would be a White Scar successor chapter like the Dark Hunters about a captain who has suffered a horrible defeat and failure and by order of the Chapter Master, Kharne Al Murzim, must go on a penitence hunt to kill and bring back the head of one of the Chapter's greatest enemies who had recently been reported sighted along with 4-6 of his old Marines; both to absolve himself of his failure but also as a test of character. This hunt would then tie them into the other plotlines set on the main planet of the series setting.

If you are out with a trans person and you notice anything that could be anti-trans, warn them so they can make a choice to remain in the situation or remove themselves for their own safety. Over a year ago Ryan and I were out a local dining place. I noticed there was a chalk board with "bud light" written on the board and crossed off. The folks at this place could have erased the drink option. Instead, they wanted everyone to know that they were protesting bud light. I told Ryan what I saw, and we never went back there again.

When a trans person says someone acted a certain (uncool) way towards them, trust them. It doesn't matter if you think that the person they are talking about is great or kind or whatever. Don't defend that person to the trans person confiding in you. Instead, validate their feelings. Make sure they're okay and ask if they would like you to help.

Become okay with being corrected. This is hard. This is imperative.

If you say something and a trans person asks you to say it a different way, use a different word, or not say it at all, then you say THANK YOU. If you have to, ask them to explain why so you can understand and learn. This is not the time to get defensive or offended. You will be uncomfortable, especially us people-pleasers, but allies should be able to handle some discomfort.

Imagine you are floating down a lazy river. If your float bumps into another person or a rock, it simply floats out of the way. The float doesn't stick around for thousands of years trying to erode the rock into sand. Be like a float in a river. Just move a little. It doesn't hurt you to learn or change one word, but it could be really hurtful to a trans person for you to keep using words that cause them dysphoria or deny their true identity that they are working so hard to bring to the surface after a lifetime of suffocating.

I've had to make changes that felt really hard. When Ryan asked me not to use my 20ish years long pet-name for them, that was hard. But it didn't hurt me to change. It was hurting them to hear it.
