I remember Elon Musk saying that the vast majority of his net worth is tied up in company assets, and people would be shocked if they saw what his actual bank account balance is. A lot of online people think he literally has billions of dollars just sitting around for his own personal use, but if that was the case then why did he have to pool venture capital to buy Twitter?

Most people's idea of the economy is abstracted into some combination of Scrooge McDuck's vault plus a wormhole that automatically keeps it filled (I don't remember any explanation of how Scrooge's stays filled) while a sinister conspiracy maliciously forces scarcity on everyone else out of simple malice. With access to the conspiracy (and thus wealth) being based on complete random chance.

This combined with the absurd claims of macroeconomics "experts" (who all know magic rituals but just refuse to use it for their own personal advantage) is how we have a world where every idiot thinks policymaking is that you simply pull the levers labeled Good Things and the even stupider (and corrupted) people who keep winding up in power can't stop themselves from pulling all the Bad Things levers. Which is somehow even dumber than the old divine right monarchial concepts.

Been over a century since central planning was logically refuted and everyone still acts as if the problem is just that the right pure of intent people haven't been given absolute power to take care of the simple task everyone knows needs to be done.

The only wealth transfer that should happen is to loot all those useless NGO's, advocacy groups and Super Pacs and invest the money in space flight and other high tech industries instead. Right now some very smart people are working on CO2 storage containers and like nuclear energy the left is doing everything to stop those from being built, because when we find a practical solution to capture CO2, the climate cult will be useless.

Wife is upset I won’t Girl Mode at home

She says she doesn’t understand why I don’t wear my wigs or do makeup or wear women’s clothing when at home. She says it doesn’t make sense I’m not doing that since I’m “claiming to be trans”. She’s worried that since she likes the way I look as a guy she won’t like how I look after I transition and that me not presenting female at home is making it really hard for her.

But I did wear the wigs and stuff for a few days after coming out, but I just can’t stand how I look when I see myself in the mirror while presenting female. I feel incredibly bad and dysphoric and I don’t want anyone else to see me like that either cus it feels like I’m just a “guy in a dress”. I said that to her and she said

“You’d be feeling dysphoric in male clothes if you were feeling dysphoria” and that just makes me feel all confused and am now questioning a lot of how I feel.

I DO feel dysphoric when boy presenting but I’ve been doing that my whole life. It’s nothing new but when I wear women’s clothes and makeup and a wig and look at myself it feels even worse. I just would love some other peoples input on this if anyone else feels the same way I do or agrees with her point of view.

so claim you feel dysphoric when presenting as a male, but feel even more dysphoric when presenting as a female, and instead of assuming that you should just be whatever you're more comfortable being at all times, you want to persist down this path??
