Maybe I have a different definition of "friend", but why would you hold your only friend hostage, keeping them ill, all because of the shitty choices you make in your shitty life, and not let them go so they can get the help they need from other people who aren't useless?  Best possible scenario is she's telling the truth, people stop giving her money, she ends up on the street, the cat runs away to safety, and she finds her way to a homeless shelter without internet access so she has to work her way out of this without hurting any other defenceless, living creature.

The Kamek characters are all NPCs that you can additionally unlock and none of them have been selectable in previous games, so if Chargin' Chuck is his main then he's talking bullshit as he's never driven as that character before so if anything, it's a preference and no-one is forcing him to do anything. Heh think that is bad, remember all the BS i had to do in Mario Kart Wii to unlock every kart and characters. Those Time Trials can suck it ad so is those damn 1 star requirements when a single blue shell can derail your chance.
