Really the most fascinating thing about that thread to me is how few of them seem to have any kind of pattern recognition. In just the last year and a half they've enthusiastically supported the following losers thinking they'd somehow defeat Israel:
1. Hamas.
2. Houthi's.
3. Hezbollah.
4. Iran.

At what point do you stop and consider that maybe you don't know enough about the topic to handicap which backward ass group can take down a modern military in a few months?

There's tons of posts in that thread saying Iran is the "only thing" keeping Israel from conquering Lebanon and Syria. Like, what? What are you even fucking talking about? Where are they all getting this from?

There was a giant essay post somewhere in that thread trying to explain that Zionism is Western colonialism or something and the guy completely passed over that it was the Ottoman's who started Jewish immigration to the region to argue the West established Israel as a Western colony to seize the Middle East.

Hello people of r/plushies. This is going to be a sad post, so if that's not allowed, feel free to delete, or you'd rather not read I understand. Or if this is the wrong place for it, apologies.

I've collected plush all my life, it was a shared joy with me and my Great Grandmother, who was essentially my mother from 6 months-17 years old. She was also a bit of a hoarder if I'm being honest, so we accumulated a lot of them.

I'm finally moving soon, pretty far away at that. And I've finally been faced with the reality of what to do with my army of plush. I have a small shelf of my most important ones that I knew I'd be keeping, but I set out to sort through all the rest to decide who would be coming with me...and I managed to whittle down about half of them, much as it pained me.

Which brings me to today...where I realized that even that half will probably be too much to ship. I can't drive so can't pack them in a car to drive them. I'm not taking any furniture or the like, so a moving company isn't really practical. So I'm left with having to whittle down the half even further, and as silly as it sounds, it's breaking my heart a little. I love these guys and even though I'm keeping the truly essential ones to me, I still hate giving up so many.

Sorry to be so rambly, TLDR being how to cope with getting rid of a lot of plushies, and are there any good places to donate besides thrift stores? (no family to take them). I hope I'm able to post some of the ones I kept in this community when I'm settled next month.

(As a bonus question, I have three extra special ones that I'd like to hold on to my person during the move, but one is about 2 feet tall...would it be possible to squish him into a carry on size bag you think?)

Back in early October I was unfortunately forced to quickly leave the place I was staying. I tried to grab all my sentimentals and thought I did...but guess I missed one.

Took until today to finally comb through all my stuff and check the remaining places it could be but it's just gone. And the people who cleared it out can't seem to help.

It's not the end of the world I know but it still really saddens me, just another depressing thing of the last few months. Silly as it sounds I feel even worse for another plushie I WAS able to grab. They were always a paired set as a kid so he essentially lost his best friend.

Started HRT a few days ago (yay!) and was advised by some acquaintances to take the Estradiol sublingual to potentially make it more effective. My issue is that I'm really struggling to get it to stay under my tongue, and I'm worried I may have wasted the last few days because it gets stuck to my finger in trying to readjust it in my mouth.

I imagine Thunderbolts is doing what Marvel needs it to, it improved audiences reception to Marvel films, and will likely help get butts in seats for Fantastic Four, more than if the prior film to it was only Captain America. It'll at minimum break-even with VOD and Disney+

Overall, I think the biggest thing for them is to just make sure they keep up that "Thunderbolts" style quality. Since as much as I love the fiilm, it was never going to pull more than it has considering it is a roster of B-List Heroes at most, with not even a "Harley Quinn" type to bank on (Sure there's bucky, but I wouldn't qualify him as that kind of character).

Iran has used probably close to 20% of its stockpile of BMs at this point? Depending on how effective Israeli ground sabotage and air to ground attacks were. They're probably going to try to pressure Israel into peace by trying to attack more of the urban areas. I really think it's their only play, to try to kill or alarm enough civilians to try to get pressure on Bibi to end this. At the same time, if Israel really controls the air over western Iran, and if Hezbollah is saying "no thanks" to fighting, and Islamic Jihad is more or less wrapped up in Gaza, and Syria is willing to signal peace with Israel, Iran might actually be alone here. If that's the case can they even afford to launch most of their BMs? If they have no means of hitting Israel they have no bargaining chips, and every attack is another opportunity for Israel to locate and destroy their TELs.

edit: A lot of people in that thread seem to be expecting a ground war that Iran can turn the tide in. Even though Iran has no real military let alone an air force to cover an invasion so will have to stop when they run out of missiles. And Israel likely has zero interest in trying to invade and occupy Iran from the air. Do they not realize there's thousands of miles of other countries between these two?

Why would the Japanese fanbase stick around for Sony when they have almost completely abandoned them? Sony made weird decisions and moved all their focus into Western cinematic third-person games, and this generation has suffered immensely for it. I probably played 40+ games on my PS4 and got so much use out of it, because there was a diverse mix of great games. I got my PS5 in January 2021, and have completed a grand total of TWO games on it (Cyberpunk 2077 and FF7 Rebirth). Thank God for Nintendo because otherwise I would have lost almost all interest in gaming.

Ps5 has lots of games to play and much more support from 3rd parties than Nintendo and you only completed 2? Didn't name Astro Bot which is the type of game you would see from Nintendo. Do you only care about Nintendo first party games? There's so many Japanese 3rd party games that did nothing special in sales numbers in Japan so I'm not sure what Sony can do other than make a handheld.
