Wow, you guys aren't being subtle anymore, it's a full-on agenda at this point, huh? I didn't seek "validation", but ofc I had a certain expectation when I made this thread, just like anyone who does a survey has. And this vote could have gone the other way, too. But it didn't. And now you're trying to dismiss one of the most conclusive surveys as "seeking validation"? This is unfair to everyone who participated here. Real people voted for their real impression of the screen and it is every bit valid, no matter how much you dislike it. Why is it so hard for you to accept that for most people, the Switch 2-screen is fine?

There were 2 threads for 2 videos where people kept/keep shitting on the screen and dismiss anyone who posts "I like it" with variants of "liar", "dumb" or "fanboy". This survey thread was created to give a realistic picture of the whole situation, whether it is as serious and bad as the vocal minority dominating those other threads made it out to be.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter why I made this thread, that's just the only angle you see to attack this topic now. What matters is that this vote is a realistic representation of the whole matter and trying to dismiss this is an insult to almost 3000 people who participated in this vote. All while nobody is taking away your tech analysis. Nobody has been saying "your analysis is wrong". But you cannot let people leave to their own impressions of the screen.

Nobody, and I repeat, NOBODY has been dismissing or handwaving away expert analysis. Nobody. This is all in your head and you're making extreme claims that actually you yourself are guilty of.

You were heard the first time you posted how bad the screen is. Now you're at, what, 10+ postings in this thread? What is your goal here? Again, nobody is denying the technical specifications. With how intense you keep posting about how bad the screen is, the impression is that you have a goal in mind. What is that goal? Because the only one I can think of it is "stop liking the screen, everyone!". Which simply has no benefit for people who bought a Switch 2.

Again: We heard you. You think the screen is bad. Why not leave it at that?

It is FACTUALLY not an objetive problem as per the result of this thread's poll.

The whole issue here stems from you guys talking about scientifc measurements, but then resorting to unscientifc assessments with words like "bad", "garbage" or else. "Good" and "bad" are not scientific. Measured values are scientific and what those mean for certain features. 350 Nits is not enough for HDR, nobody disputes that. For true HDR, you need at least 1000 Nits afaik as an official industry group has decided. 350 Nits doesn't mean the Switch 2-screen is "bad". It means it cannot display proper HDR. No need for emotionally loaded language like "bad" or "garbage". The same goes for any other feature you're evaluating. Stop using unscientific language when insisting on scientific findings.

This is different for this thread. People don't need to adhere to any scientific standards and they DEFINITELY don't need to acknowledge anything as a "problem" as you claim in the quote above. A problem is something that has negative consequences to one's enjoyment, and if one doesn't feel negatively impacted, then why the hell would that person be required to acknowledge a problem?! You know I am disabled as well. Accessibility and the right to have it means the world to both us us, it is our right to exist in this dimension. But THIS is not the thread to fight over it.

You can't quote someone who was responding to the OP and interject the context of the disabled.

Now let me say this of the entire community. Would it be great if people had the empathy to consider US, before they started typing shit about how games should be left up to creators and how every game shouldn't be playable or beatable by everyone?
