Trump's such a loser. Just do it. Don't wander around for days, months now really, saying you might do it over and over trying to scare the guy. The guy knows more than you about what he gets and how likely you are to the pull the trigger.

Stop threatening, just do it. Cut off Telsa's subsidies, that's a good thing even not to hurt Elon. Cut off SpaceX, that's a good thing because it hurts the federal government and forces Trump to have to pretend to like Bezos now.

Also he's a US citizen, why would he head back to South Africa where he has nothing?

Considering how Trump also keeps pushing off things like tariffs or the Tiktok ban I think we're just dealing with a hardcore procrastinator.

It's wild at the AI seminar today I learned about some of the things Trump is doing behind the scenes or his people are doing.

And most of it falls under the category: "Is this even legal? Absolutely fucking not"

Some people think Musk is controlled opposition and put in place to give Trump his 3rd term. If there is no clear winner in a 3 way race, it'll end up in the senate or supreme court or whatever. Handing Trump the win if it's GOP controlled.

The House does the contingent election between the top three finishers, it's in the Constitution, it's happened before, it's done by state not who controls the House.

Trump will not be eligible for a third term so will not be one of the top three finishers.

In other words, you learned absolutely nothing.

There was a fairly popular Japanese book/movie/show called “Shylock no Kodomotachi”. The entire premise is about untrustworthy money lenders and fraud and bank drama. Shinzo recommended it to Trump and that’s where he got it.

I feel like I kind of have the same understanding? I've heard the word like twice in my life and my immediate thought was association with money rather than jewish people

though if you asked me what it meant I might've said someone who doesn't pay their debts, and probably mix it up with shyster

Historically though that's the same thing. That's why there's so much crossover between anti-Semitism and the language used against the wealthy and many of these types of ideas seem like they're constantly coming up from the same types of people all the time. Jews were exempt from the prohibitions on things that prevented the escape from poverty, the rest of society wasn't going to abandon those, so Jews were seen as obviously corrupt. It's the same reason so many Jews were merchants and bankers and so on, those occupations were forbidden to everyone else and Jews were forbidden from everything else.

This doesn't necessarily mean using those terms can't be ignorance, like when somebody says they've been gypped by something, I almost never would think they're actually accusing the company or person of being literal gypsies aka Roma. As I regularly say I assume ignorance over malice generally.

You can actually go on Twitter and read threads where people are listing all the reasons they hate Jews and it sounds like they're describing an ancient society rather than one where everybody does those things now. I think it's especially funny in that sort of ALPHA ALT-RIGHT sphere because those dudes are all about getting ahead and getting wealthy and then they'll go into a rant about how Jews are evil because they're culturally good at making money and that means they can't get wealthy. Like, you realize that one of your obsessive ideas is what's preventing you from achieving your other. lol

As with anyone who can be credited for anything, his achievements can be traced back to Nepenthe, who is the ur-accomplisher of all things.

I also wouldn't really argue that Wakanda lacked internal strife; that's what the whole battle ceremony was all about, and Daniel Kaluuya's character was sheisty even before Kilmonger showed up.

The issue is pretty blatant: Wakanda knew what was going on with colonialism and literally did fuck all about it, and they are framed as the bad guys for doing nothing about it instead of, you know, the fucking whites who did the colonizing. It leans into feelings of alienation and "being an island" for the Black diasporas. It also lets whites off the hook because, hey, a white moviegoers' money is as green as anyone else's and we can't chase them off by rightfully blaming their ancestors for the shit they did.

But, again, this is ahistorical because the idea of a shared Blackness, a shared oppression, didn't really exist in Africa during colonialism, and in many ways and contexts it still doesn't (although I'm invested into Pan Africanism as a movement regardless.) You were part of your community and if you had some fucking asshole from another community as a prisoner of war, why the fuck not sell him into slavery, especially to protect your own? Sucks to suck; don't run up on my community.

Black Americans in particular are largely taught (by whites) that Africans "sold out their own," which engenders an animosity and spitefulness towards the Motherland that is both indicative of Kilmonger's fury and a bulwark against true African consciousness and solidarity in the wake of modern sociopolitical dynamics, but again it fundamentally doesn't make sense the moment you are able to conceive of Africa as a continent with literally thousands of different cultures who for most of their existence had no need to unite under a banner of skin color, because racism and thus our current understanding of race are specific social constructs that only came to exist to justify colonialism and divide the proletariat.

Quote:WASHINGTON, July 5 (Reuters) - The dispute between Republican President Donald Trump and his main campaign financier Elon Musk took another fractious turn on Saturday when the space and automotive billionaire announced the formation of a new political party, saying Trump's "big, beautiful" tax bill would bankrupt America.

A day after asking his followers on his X platform whether a new U.S. political party should be created, Musk declared in a post on Saturday that "Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom."

Guy will quickly find out why none of these other parties that get started literally every cycle have lived except the Libertarians. Hell, he should just tweet at Andrew Yang to find out how the Forward Party is doing after four years.

Here’s a fun game: find a maga social media account posting about the Texas flooding and drudge up their posts from the Californian wildfire from a few months back.

Nah, that's low hanging fruit. The real game we play is bringing up their years of tweets against whatever position they're now taking because Trump has.
