Eric already responded to this but I want to add that the US is the only country that doesn't have a country level internet restriction scheme. The feds could do it (illegally), but they generally take down servers directly since most are hosted in the US or friendly countries anyway. They also rely on ISP's being willing to block things themselves.

Without looking I'm going to assume it's like the EU laws and doesn't apply to me because I'm a single person, our traffic is so low and no money is made from it. For example, I don't have to comply with the GDPR. Even with the far larger traffic I doubt Null has to. ResetERA.com has to and from what I've read from EU people doesn't really despite being owned by Swedes.
Somewhere in the bill there's likely a similar provision about who has to comply, almost all legislation is written like that. There are plenty of US laws (about other stuff) that don't apply to The Bire because it's really just me.

I saw it today. I liked it pretty much. It was so nice to have a Superman who is unquestionably a good person. Ultimately, that's what turned me off Man of Steel and all the following movies. I mean, when he says incredulously against what was frankly Nuance Trolling from Lois, "But people were going to die?!" Like, of course he had to act to stop that.

Yeah, it's good to have a clear example of it in a blockbuster. Frustrating to watch the first time because I wanted to shout at Lois but hopefully it makes a few people realise the pattern of behaviour. Interesting to come from a journalist too. The film has quite a few subversive elements to it, unless I'm reading the intentions wrong.

But Clark is an unquestionably good person in Snyder's films. The one person he doesn't save is his father who's requesting not to be saved and it's when he was a child.

I've had clients who were compulsive liers. There's a range of psychological reasons. From my experience with clients, it comes down to growing up having a need to impress others and when you didn't, in order to please others you would lie. To maintain that status. And then you have to stack narratives on top of each other so there aren't plot holes. The fear that the truth would have devastating consequences. Ironically having to lie for so long leads to that anyways.

What discovery would be necessary? I know, I know, you're those guys who think discovery allows you to just request anything you want no matter how unrelated to the case as long as you can come up with some bullshit you think justifies it. And so to explain why that won't happen you have to concoct some conspiracy based on what you think has happened in other instances you're also ignorant about.

I was completely shocked when he said that. For some reason, I didn't bring up why he told me that he was single the month before when I first approached him. I just mulled at the thought quietly and we talked about other things instead.

Now I avoid him at all costs by going at a later timing to the gym (yeah I know, I shouldn't have shat where I ate). I am completely heartbroken and angry at him for lying to me.

I have social anxiety disorder, which is also called social phobia. It's an intense fear of negative judgement from other people. It's no exaggeration to say that it's completely ruined my life.

Very simple things are difficult or impossible for me. I can't go into a cafe I haven't been in before, because I don't know the setup and might do something foolish. I struggle with phone calls and voice chat because I can't see the other person(s). I dread family gatherings because at any moment I could become the focus of attention and I'm ashamed of my life. Applying for jobs is hellish. It's hard to make friends and very hard to keep them.

By nature I'm outgoing, I like making people laugh and helping them out. So I'm perpetually ashamed and disappointed in myself for not being the person I should be.
